Froome did his first Tour-Vuelta combo in 2012. Practically cally, the only year Froome didn't try a double was 2013*.
*Yep, he crashed in 2014 but I have no doubt he'd start Vuelta anyway.

Yes, but still Froome did the Vuelta after his second Tour win. I see no reason for Vingegaard not to ride the Vuelta. He isn't going to the WC, doesn't seem to have aspirations in the Italian classics, so trying a double is the only thing that make sense. No pressure, just see how it goes..

He should start this year already if he is fresh enough. He’s been flying since Dauphiné, so maybe he needs some rest. As for Rogla, I think the goal should be to support him, and then if it’s possible to finish 1-2.

He didn't go exceptionally fast if you compare him to Gall. He did take 2 minutes on Adam Yates, the closest finisher from the favourites group. On Granon the closest finisher was Quintana at "just" a minute. So it depends on how you look at it.

Yes, which is what I meant when I said Froome did the Vuelta in 2015 after winning the Tour which was his second. Netserk had said Froome did it after his third Tour win.

Granon was definitely more impressive because Vingegaard had put much more effort into the race on Telegraphe and Galibier than Quintana, Bardet and the likes. He took basically 1'40 on Quintana in the last 5 km, doing stupid W/kg for the final 15 minutes of Granon.

If you compare it to Geraint Thomas, who was in the little "breakaway" on the Telegraphe, yesterday's gap was still bigger. I definitely think Vingegaard had more grinta on Granon, but for someone who didn't really have to anymore he did create quite a big gap yesterday.

In contrast, yesterday, the stage was also hard. They spent 4.139 Kilojoules during 4 hours before col de la loze, there was 5400 vertical meters, and it was in the third week. Granon was in the beginning of the second week.
Vingegaard is the team leader. If he wants to challenge Remco at la Vuelta, that should be his choice. Not a *** move for wanting a double over Rog's double

It really would be a d*ck move, especially considering Roglič asked the team if he could ride the Tour after the Giro & they said no.
But whatever, that's just my opinion & anything is possible. I normally really wouldn't expect Vingegaard to go the Vuelta but I have no idea what his ambitions are.
Last year he switched off after the Tour.

Don't turn Roglic into such a victim all the time! He's a grown up man who earns millions every year doing the thing that he loves.
If Vingegaard does the Vuelta (I doubt he will, but if) we don't even know what his role will be. Maybe a super dom, maybe it'll be a test run for a possible co-captaincy in the Tour next year.

That doesn't really matter, just like it didn't matter for Hindley when he won the stage. They didn't do any work in the break, so the effort in the peloton and in the break was more or less the same.
