Yes, but 2009 Contador could hang IMO

2009 Contador with that years Astana actually working for him would be interesting.2009 Contador was a monster.
2009 contador, 2013 froome, couldn't hang, but we don't know how prime froome and contador in 2023 would be. Probably they would be more faster than froome 2013 and contador 2009.2009 Contador was a monster.
I don't think it's fair to compare Bernal and Pogacar. The biggest, most important victory in the world of bike racing is to win the final riders’ GC of the Tour de France. That is what every bike racer wants to achieve.
Seems to me that Vingegaard is suited perfectly to exactly this: winning the Tour de France. A rider and a race seem to have found each other.
It‘s like Lance in the 1999 to 2005 years. Everything works perfectly smooth.
To me, the biggest surprise is, that we now have had two riders within few years, whose star sank as rapidly as it raised, beforehand: Bernal and Pogacar. Both were meant to be dominators for ten or 15 years, and both already are on the decline. That came very quickly, and very surprising, for both, Bernal and Pogacar.
Has Quintana ridden into the back of a bus? I think Froome might be a better comparison.Bernal should probably be more compared to Quintana than he should to Pogacar.
Pogacar is not on the decline. He did his best numbers ever in this tour de france. He is still the most complete rider in the world, unfortunately for him a beast called vingegaard appeared to become the best GT rider in the world, and take that spot from him.The biggest, most important victory in the world of bike racing is to win the final riders’ GC of the Tour de France. Oh, please! First Jonas may not like the Lance comparison. Second Pogacar is not on the decline, his crash unlike Bernal only interrupted his training just enough to make him the second best in this years tour. Bernal's crash was life threatening and he is showing signs of being on the right road back so he's no Froome. Besides he is the same age as Vingegaard and only 2 years older than Pogacar so age is on his side. The biggest, most important victory in the world of bike racing is to win the final riders’ GC of the Tour de France. Pogacar Sank, Decline!!! By that definition Remco, Van der Poel, WVA & 90% of the peloton should retireTo me, the biggest surprise is, that we now have had two riders within few years, whose star sank as rapidly as it raised, beforehand: Bernal and Pogacar. Yup. Under normal circumstances I consider Pogacar best-of-the-decade GT racer at least but Vinge may well become best-of-the-century grand tourer.
Im sure Plugge is very afraid of a man who decided to leave his best rider at homeMadiot is really angry. So FDJ will do what they must & prepare Lenny Martinez for a TdF 2024 revenge Tour versus Vingegaard.
Plugge has been a huge mistake.
You could rename it to grand torturer since he is torturing the other riders with pain and agony of trying to follow himYup. Under normal circumstances I consider Pogacar best-of-the-decade GT racer at least but Vinge may well become best-of-the-century grand tourer.
Not really......I doubt the Downhill & Enduro riders could care less about 'skinny guys' riding around France. The biggest, most important victory in the world of bike racing is to win the final riders’ GC of the Tour de France. That is what every bike racer wants to achieve.
Honestly Vinge could win all three GTs in the same year with this level, receivers, and team support. Just drop a huge watt bomb once or twice to gain a bunch of time, and the team covers everything else.

Such a goal has never been realistically tried???Honestly Vinge could win all three GTs in the same year with this level, receivers, and team support. Just drop a huge watt bomb once or twice to gain a bunch of time, and the team covers everything else.
