Don't act as if everything was so much better back in the days. Based on the stories, seems pretty clear to me that things are far better now.

He is in better shape than what i thought. I hope he gets in peak shape in the last week and half, for tourmalet and angliru.

I wonder if he could have done better if he went earlier. He was more in control mode (for Roglic?) than aiming for the win. Also, Remco did a recon and clearly knew the finish (not what was after the finish), and Remco went at exactly the right time. Vingegaard was only reacting and didn't seem to have reconned (which was pretty logic).
But indeed he looked good. I know it's early but he already seems to be the best chance for Jumbo GC.

I bet he will only get stronger as the Vuelta progresses. I suspect Evenepoel will take time on him both on stage 6 and in the ITT. It will be tough to catch him in the 3rd week.

Wouldn't it be more logical if his level decreases slightly towards the end of the Vuelta with his peak for the Tour slowly degrading? Seems hard to peak again so close after the Tour.He was interviewed at the finish by Danish TV.

Could go either way. I've seen both happen. I think it depends a little on how much high intensity training you do inbetween

Also depends on whether the Tour was an absolute superpeak or something more mundane (this side of the clinic, that is). Jumbo propaganda seems to signal it was the latter and they expect almost a similar level again.

Pretty strong by Vingo. He says he wasn't super but still it was good considering Tour in his legs. Obviously no crazy watts from the TdF or Basque Country here. The question is if he'll fade in the 3rd week (due to Tour in his legs) or the opposite or maybe just keeping good but not spectacular level? He may end up to be Remco's biggest threat if Primoz's crash affects him.

Getting 2nd here is pretty strong considering it was a slow climb and pretty much down to the sprint.
I also wouldn't be surprised if Vingegaard trained less on his sprint in 2023 than 2022

But why JV didn't drill the last climb? This would be better for Vingo. Probably it was due to Primoz plus Vingo himself wasn't too confident either methinks.
Something is off if a team like JV don't drill a climb in a race without Pogacar.

I think headwind and neither feeling particularly great. Kuss looked a bit like a controlling pace to me.

They have respect or even slight fear of Remco. One still cannot know for certain, but there is a possibility that Remco is even stronger than Vingegaard. So Remco would be strongest current GT GC rider, Vinge second, Pog and Rog third.

It's the third day. Jumbo don't give a sh*t about these stages.
They'll be 'dormant' of sorts until they active those mega watts & blow the field away. I'm getting old & I've seen this way too often now. Vingegaard will be amazing, just perhaps not in the first week.
