Don't think Lund will bring him to the Olympic, it would only be for the experience, we have better guys for that route. Really hope to see Asgreen at 100% next year, we got a little taste at the TdF.

I hope you're right. He should not waste his time in one day races, specially one day races where the route is not good for him.

He should go to the grand tours, because that's where he is the best. Tour+Vuelta.

I cannot understand why he wants to go to the Olympics, because the route is not good for him, and he can win the double Tour/Vuelta.

I think the Olympics hold a special attraction to many riders, even if the route doesn't suit them.

It can easily be a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to the Worlds premier sports event, especially when you are from a country with a lot of quality riders.

That being said, I don't see him getting selected for the Olympics, as I think the national coach thinks the route is better for 6-8 other Danes - and will probably also want at least 1 domestique along as well - and add to that the weird Olympics selection rules, which means you can't have reserves except from other Olympic cycling events, so riders who can compete both on track and road (like Ganna) are a hot commodity.

Who would you select to the danish ream? I assume pedersen. Who else?
Well, it depends on who is showing good form in the spring I bet. Pedersen is obvious as captain, Asgreen should also be an obvious choice.

It's a decent course for Kragh Andersen in top form, but not the version we saw in the Tour de France...

Skjelmose is peaking for LBL and then again for the Vuelta, so I doubt he will be selected.

Kron could do something here. If he rides the tour, I reckon he has a shot of making the team.

I'd select Pedersen, Asgreen, Kron and Vingegaard.

Vingegaard can go as a domestique on that course, he have no problems doing that for somebody, but i hope national coach doesn’t select him, to focus 100% on the vuelta.

Did he already disclose his calendar towards TDF? Might have missed it, but wondered if he would ride Tirreno or Paris-Nice

Vingegaard, Pogi and Evenepoel won't be facing each other in the spring stage races. It's up to Rogla to provide a more equal match-up in those.
