The last off topic and then I'll stop.
After his shoulder surgery in 2022, he had an interview for Slovenian radio channel Val202. Even then were some transfer rumours and he said:
"There are always some speculations, but we all know I have a contract with TJV. For how many years? Definitely next year, then we'll see. Nothing lasts for ever in sports and in life. We are always trying to find optimal ways, each and every one of us. I am always trying to find the best conditions for me where ever I am." And he had a contract for 3 more years then...

Expectations for Itzulia: Victory I'm gonna go with second place in the ITT (or close to it), second place on another stage, and in the last stage he will attack on Krabelin with ~70 km to go (only his shadow will follow him there).

No expectations for Liège, since he's too scared to ride it.

Wait a moment, is there actually debate whether Jonah J was stronger than Primo P? Pretty sure he could have obliterated him if he wanted. We'll never know for sure, but JJ looked pretty in control.

I don't think Rogocop has it anymore to win a GT against the lab experiments

If they had ridden against each other from the start, Rogla could have ridden defensively with his lead from the ITT. So he wouldn't have needed to be the strongest climber in the race.

Jonah J would have ridden him off the wheel in the final climbs of the race. Might have even done it nose breathing. Rogocop would have been gassed.

I mean, this is entirely speculation on everyone's behalf! But still fun

He says Tour-Vuelta is the plan this year, but that it will depend on his condition after the Tour. So same as last year.

San Remco makes no sense in between two GTs.

I hope he’ll do Strade-Catalunya-Itzulia next year, maybe with a few more one-day races. And no Dauphiné.

He would also need to win 4 classicas San Remco, to change the name to Classica de San Vingegaard.

I hope he wins o Gran camino next year, to change the name of the race to o Gran Vingegaard.

No I don't think so either, going on feel only Tirreno seemed more impressive. I do think Pogacar looks a touch better than last year though, but his main goals come earlier so you would expect him to be in better shape.

Would be more interesting if he wasn't doing the Giro, I can't ever remember someone looking better in the TDF after winning it, even a fully juiced Pantani had to rely on a legendary blowup from Ulle in the rain when he won it.
