There's something comical about how aggressively he rides to Pogacar's wheel in stages like today. Like Pogacar going to the front to take a turn, and Vingegaard just goes and sits on his ass not taking a turn.

It's not harmful to do, it's probably very little benefit, it just looks hilarious.

Pogi will probably have some advantage over Vingo before the TT, also due to bonis (but I think it's in 10-20 seconds range max). If he flops a bit in the TT Vingo can easily overcome it.

If he rides the flat as poorly as in Dauphiné, bonus seconds won't be enough of a buffer.

Of course, if he instead rides with a proper setup where he can put the power down, then he is favourite to lead the race after the ITT.

Yes you could see the difference between Vingegaard on the one hand vs Remco and Roglic on the other hand in the way they approached the interview and today’s stage. Vingegaard is here to win; the others are not.

More in the Pogi-camp myself, but I have tremendous respect for Vingegaard and his approach to racing. Last year after the injury, actually always in the sense of making stage races hard every day since he thinks the best way to get the better off of Pogi is by endurance and recovery, and again today with him taking wind at 63 km/h himself, co-forcing the split.

He's looking strong but I'm not convinced about this tactical move at all. I remember Contador tried somehow similar strategy against Froome and failed miserably when it comes to overall success.

Looking forward to see how he performs in next stages.

I feel as though he'd be ultimately better off saving as much energy as possible rather than wasting it to give himself the best chance against Pogacar but it's definitely entertaining.

The problem is quite unique - Jonas tries to beat Pogacar in his own game. Pogacar is definitely the most versatile one day racer in decades - he knows exactly how to race and win in the dynamic, monument like environment. Do we believe Jonas is the one that will break Pogi in such terrain?

IMHO Jonas should stay calm, save his bullets and wait for his moments in the mountains and ITTs.
