He is completely knackered. We saw that at stage 19, and again today. He would've won the TDF anyway, but he could've lost time if stage 19 wasn't shortened. On top of that, have you seen his after race interview? He's done. He couldn't have gone much longer mentally either.

He wouldnt even try today if he was that bad. Vingo didnt look good either on stage 19, never attacking despite Pog's long lead.

Yeah, Vingegaard was really better without a doubt. He gained 0 seconds despite being on his wheel for 10 km.

He is so done that he won this race quite easily. Meanwhile there is a certain belgian who was so fresh than ended his Tour on Tourmalet.

Of course he would. Have you seen his ego? He would've tried always, assuming he is the best.

" Have you seen his ego ? "
Why is everything Pogi does reframed in a negative way ?

Any pro cyclist in Pogi position would do the same. His job as a team leader is to win as many race as possible. Period.
If a team leader doesnt try to win a given race he is participating in is because it might jeopardize his legs for a more important stage later on.

Ayuso isn’t going to know what hit him honestly. Vingegaard has a good chance to walk away with 3-5 stages and the overall.

There could be some kind of rivalry between Visma & UAE (at least for some time) as Vingo can feel the effects of the Tour and may be below his best. I still think his suboptimal level should be enough to win OFC. There is an abyss between him & the rest of the world.

ALL top athletes have egos, that's part of the deal.*

Ego and confidence seem to be used interchangeably, fine enough, but frequently ego is used to express unrealistic confidence. Certainly not the case with TP or any top level pro.

*That goes for every level: the top HS kid has an ego, and so on until they reach the top (with max ego). Their ego may manifest and be demonstrated differently, but if you aren't confident, you won't make it to the top.
