I think it was a brief bit of gastro in 23 and maybe covid this year.
Has he ever said he's ill during this Vuelta?

Yes, but only after the fact. It was pretty obvious after Campy left the race.Has he ever said he's ill during this Vuelta?
2023 his performance pattern was overall pretty strange. When did he supposedly have the gastro?I think it was a brief bit of gastro in 23 and maybe covid this year.
After Andorra.2023 his performance pattern was overall pretty strange. When did he supposedly have the gastro?
It didn't last that long right? It was over by Jalavambre when he hopped onto Roglic and when Kuss took his minutes. After Andorra.

- Det var ikke mit stolteste øjeblik, siger Vingegaard om maveonde
Maveproblemer tvang den danske Tour-vinder af cyklen i første uge af Vuelta a España.sport.tv2.dk
Yeah, it sounds like he was most affected on stage 5 and then recovered after that.It didn't last that long right? It was over by Jalavambre when he hopped onto Roglic and when Kuss took his minutes.
that's a stretch imo. would rather wait for next year for that.A realist would aswell.
The Giro would be his third consecutive GT, but he surely wants to win it.A mixed year, but good to end on a high note. He has been in a good place mentally already since Dauphiné, perhaps also in spring. Should be much fresher and still plenty hungry this winter, last year he was completely empty after Pologne.
I really hope he won't ride the Giro, even if it will be very difficult to mount a proper challenge to Pogi in the Tour. And the Vuelta is good as second target.

I will never understand this worryness about doing 4 consecutive GTs. One thing is doing 3 GTs in the same year and another GT in the next year. The Giro would be his third consecutive GT, but he surely wants to win it.
Opportunity cost. It would compromise all other targets for him, except the WCRR and Lombardia, which are bad goals for him. Why?
What do you mean by all other targets? I never saw Vingegaard interested in something other than winning GTs.Opportunity cost. It would compromise all other targets for him, except the WCRR and Lombardia, which are bad goals for him.
Tour-Vuelta gives him better chances for the Tour and good chances for the Vuelta. And it will also be better for the WC in 2027 to not ride the Giro, so I hope he waits until 28 with that.
Sounds more like something those protesters would do, please don‘tJob done (knock on Michael Woods). Today he showed the Mundo he's still got some Bolas.
After the stage today, he says that he was troubled by illness since his stage 9 victory. Today was his best day since then.

Vingegaards sygdom har været værre, end han fortalte

I don't think "new" wins matter. Best possible chance to win the Tour matters. As good chance as possible to win another GT conditional on that is the second highest priority. Of tertiary targets, the main spring stage races least compromise his main targets. What do you mean by all other targets? I never saw Vingegaard interested in something other than winning GTs.
He can have this schedule:
Gran Camino/Algarve/Andalucia/other race
Catalunya (never won it)
Giro
TdF
GdL
If he decides to race the Tour, he will probably race:
Gran/Camino/etc
PN/TA
Catalunya
Dauphiné
TdF
Vuelta
Other than PN, I can't see what new wins he is sacrificing
