Sounds like Lefevere and Van Wilder on the same side

And Bakala disappearing from the owner side of QS. Unless Lefevre magically finds a new sponsor that pays about the same as Soudal there is no way there will be economical muscles in the “new” team to keep all the riders even if they want to. So some big earners need to go anyway. And if all the riders who are contracted with QS for next year decide to stay - or have to stay, due to having contracts - then the "merger" will actually just be Soudal-the-company switching which team they sponsor... again!
Dude, did you see Vingo’s TT in this Tour?Plus take what we know about the rumored 2024 Tour route. Those Italian stages have Remco's name on them. Maybe Vingegaard destroys Remco (and the field frankly) on stage 4 to Valloire. But what if Remco is on a great day then and doesn't lose more than 20-30 seconds. Then Remco gets a 30 - 90 second lead on Vingegaard in the rumored first time trial going into the first rest stage. What happens then? If you think the Vuelta was bad, just imagine the scenario I outlined. I don't see how it works unless this is just about money.
In a proper flat TT Remco should still be favored in a first week ITT I think. He’s the world champion after all.Dude, did you see Vingo’s TT in this Tour?
Which proves the lie that it was ever a merger (two entities each giving up their existence in favour of a new one that has all the assets and liabilities of both), and invites the question of what binding commitment Soudal (the company) had to SOQ/Decolef (the team) that they can walk away without apparent consequence to them.Let me get this straight:
If Lefevere manages to create a "new" team, said team can continue under the current QS WT license, and will not actually be a new team, just the same team under a new name, and thus the team will be saved?

If the owner of the team (Bakala) agrees with the sponsor (Soudal) to terminate the contract, then there wouldn't be any binding commitment, right?Which proves the lie that it was ever a merger (two entities each giving up their existence in favour of a new one that has all the assets and liabilities of both), and invites the question of what binding commitment Soudal (the company) had to SOQ/Decolef (the team) that they can walk away without apparent consequence to them.
Optically, yes, including probably a few others like Specialized making the move although they also could decide to support the QS team another year as well. In practice it is a partial sale of QS to JV with the Soudal sponsorship contract as the major asset sold and the majority shareholder jumping ship in return. How Lefevere is compensated is now less clear. Maybe he mainly gets the QS team.Let me get this straight:

Yes, he could deliberately damage his own asset in that way, but he wouldn't have had any authority to make them take the sponsorship to TJV.If the owner of the team (Bakala) agrees with the sponsor (Soudal) to terminate the contract, then there wouldn't be any binding commitment, right?
Still don´t want to see Evenepoel and Vingegaard in the same team...
Probably the only reason why amazon came onboard 😅I don't know. it could be fun. even imagining the internal troubles. if Jumbo had troubles at the Vuelta, I can't imagine next July if they're both there
It seems like for a lot of people the Vuelta has now become the standard: in every race Jumbo will decide among themselves who wins. Of course that's not going to happen. Normally if you have one guy in the lead and then the rivals have to chase, it's an advantage to have multiple leaders rather than one. Then there isn't a golden boy Roglic and his fans who feel "hurt" that he isn't allowed to win. Because he's not riding against his own teammates, but against Pogacar.Plus take what we know about the rumored 2024 Tour route. Those Italian stages have Remco's name on them. Neither of them have any insight in Jumbo's finances. Why would they?View: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3rGjmVu-hlc&pp=ygUebGFudGVybmUgcm91Z2UgY3ljbGluZyBwb2RjYXN0
Patrick suggesting Jumbo Visma economy isn’t so bad but they just wants more money.
After all he's working for them and is a lawyer otherwise so... him and Brunyel on opposite speculations there.

No, however if there's a fact about it which you can just look up, I tend to mention it. For example that Jumbo didn't pay them 20 million. Otherwise what's the point of discussion, if there are no facts allowed.Neither do you even do you think so.

He also saw his TT against Remco in the Vuelta.Dude, did you see Vingo’s TT in this Tour?
The Tour is not the Vuelta. Vingegaard the introvert does not strike me as someone who would be fine with bold, extroverted Remco challenging him at the Tour from within his own team. It seems like it has a ton of potential to be a very bad situation. I can't be the only one who sees the two do not have personalities that will blend well together, especially in a competitive environment.
One of the best ever. I've never seen him do a TT like that on flat roads. I assuming the Dijon TT is going to be flat.Dude, did you see Vingo’s TT in this Tour?
