Nobody in World Tour will sign Quintana for next year as Tramadol gets banned by WADA too, so it would just look really stupid to sign him. He's not stronger than Thomas and Rodriguez at GC and he's incapable of riding for others anyway, so there's better domeestiques they could buy.

Remco to Ineos and Rodriguez to Movistar?

I think rodriguez and Remco get along extremely well. I doubt the arrival of Remco at Ineos would scare rodriguez away at all. In fact I personally believe it may have been an enticement to stay.

I hope Remco goes to Ineos. I think he would have a better chance at winning the TDF at jumbo, but I want him riding for himself the entire season. He is the most exciting rider of my lifetime (since Merckx who I watched live on TV).

Rog will go to Bohra.
Remco will go to Ineos.
JV have a new sponsor.
I hope this is how it'll play out. It sure wasn't pretty* but next year we can enjoy the best riders spread out among multiple teams. I can't be opposed to that.

* wtf is Pat doing? Is he gonna be on the board of the new team or what? Or does he want to re-start QS? He can't do both.
And if it's re-starting QS, I don't know... I know all his fans say he's just doing it for the staff and remaining riders, but I don't buy that for a second. Can he hold Remco to his contract in that situation? Seems like a very spiteful thing to do.
I still think all of this was about getting Soudal as the new sponsor for JV, and Pat maybe feels screwed over by that Soudal guy.

Tell me, since I don't really follow his podcast but only hear the "news" coming out of it, has he been right about anything so far? I mean real scoops, not the obvious stuff that anyone can see.
He's not a journalist, he doesn't have 'scoops'. He knows a lot of people still in the game and offers his opinion based on this.

He's been right that Remco's contract wouldn't be sold to Ineos like so many people have been saying for 6 months.
He's been saying for a long time Roglic should get out of Jumbo

But sometimes its funny - like when the cohost said the avg Jumbo rider salary was $1M he is like, no no no thats way too high, then 20 minutes later saying the Jumbo budget is $30M. LOL do the math bro

How would you know?

Obviously you don't buy a business off a guy, without ensuring he doesn't take key staff and most of the goodwill, and sets up a competing shop next door the very next day.

A non-compete clause is pretty standard when purchasing or merging businesses.
No one is 'buying a business' from PL.

I think that many people are interpreting this incorrectly (maybe it will be me who ends up being wrong), but PL's teams isn't being purchased.

Remco Evenepoel says that he also doesn’t really know anything besides that they are working towards getting UCI license by 16th of October. Waiting game.

This I find a bit hard to believe. He's acting like he's similarly in the dark as the other guys. He may not know all the details but surely he knows a bit more than he's letting on. Maybe he doesn't want to be seen as the guy who betrayed his teammates.

I also think he knows more but I don’t think he betrayed his team mates. Other riders will also join the new team, does that mean they betrayed the team too?

Lefevre is an old-school cat and I think he will be the last to lose his hand.

I think Remco on the other hand can lose greatly if he is not careful.

The contract buy out option that Remco is looking at if SQS is to be kept alive can be what other teams won't lay down, and then he is stuck in a team that might be going in a different direction.

I am not sure how the relationship between lefevre and remcos entourage is but I find it somewhat uneasy.

I am leaning towards nothing will happen between SQS and JV. I think its politics happening to play people out.

a new team registration has already been sent to the UCI. the UCI also made a communiqué about the possibility of 17 WT teams next year. PON (cervelo) CEO complained about Specialized "theft" of Jumbo. I think it will happen
I think it will happen, but I wouldn't rule out QS continuing as a separate team. Latest I've heard is that there's hope most of the riders will stay.
