And over in Zuid Limburg we have riders with such amazing names as Child, Home - unfortunately, didn't make it... err... home on the first stage - and Speak.

Seff Van Kerckhove is back racing after his accident and has won the Volta Castello !

That's good news. I thought he would be out for much longer.

The italian Patrik Pezzo Rosola wins the third stage of Course of Paix in a sprint against the Swedish Wandel. The peloton composed by around thirty riders with the former leader Risbjerg and the favourite Van Kerckhove arrived 5" late. Pezzo Rosola +5" Risbjerg + 7" Birkedal +9" Wandel. Tomorrow the last stage Terezin-Terezin

Van Kerckhove seems more a high mountain and a long TT man. Never gets it right in the short 8.8 KM Peace Race TT despite probably being the best TT of his age.

Meanwhile in LBL Juniors 17 year old begian star Vic De Smet wins, albeit in a weaker field because the Junior Peace race is going on at the same time.

Interesting, just saw the article on sporza about Vic De Smet. seems like talent according to pcs. but is he a GT talent or more a hilly classics talent?
I also checked out seff van kerckhove, and he just seems a tad too tall.
But then again so is seixas and del toro. Van keckhove is even taller though.
I dunno, maybe you can be tall and be a good GT guy these days. Arensman ain't shabby.

What a great thread. Some legends picked on early, and some talents that seemingly never broke through in the big leagues.
Also saw that some children of former stars are trying to to make it in cycling.

With riders seemingly turning pro earlier. this thread will only become more relevant methinks.
