Great rider, stylish dresser, very handsome Italian and a Giro winner. A totally awesome combo. Riding the Giro and the Vuelta. He will make the Vuelta a class race. I will root for the killer on every curve and bend of the Vuelta. Total class act Di Luca.

He will be riding in the special Katusha jersey. It says Hi, I am the Killer, what am I on? Katusha, rocket fuel. (In Russian of course)

I honestly like to know what is it that Di Luca needs to prove in cycling after being busted twice.......
but what annoys me the most is his canny ability to land contracts like nobody else in Pro-cycling after being sanctioned... he might as well get some tips to Valverde when he's ready to return....

Why? There's no doubt in my mind Valverde is going back to Caisse (Movistar) next winter

But Frank Shleck is ok in your book ? Really ?

He never snatched a GC from a 21 year-old ;) No seriously though the only reason DiLuca was able to race so long is because they hadn't developped the ***-**** test yet.

Others who are OK in my book:

- Ivan Basso
- David Millar
- Alessandro Petacchi
...

Doesn't necessarily have anything to do with d*ping you know, I just don't like the guy that much. He's like a slightly less arrogant, therefore much creepier version of Ricco (who is not OK in my book)

at least di luca doesnt dive in the penalty area gets awarded a penalty which ultimately wins the game and then ITV gives him the man of the match award (berbatov for man u), talk about openly rewarding cheating.

at least di luca will liven up races dispite his past, although i think he will be past his best and we will barely notice him this season

Millar? Mr. Sanctimonious hypocrite?

Nah, di Luca's a douche. If Zomegnan is true to form and not a hypocrite, di Luca will not be welcome at the Giro. But then again perhaps that's what the whole 'he will be riding to support Rodríguez' thing is about, trying to make him seem less threatening to RCS, who've been burnt by him twice before (once coming back from his Oil For Drugs ban when he won the Giro, and once in 2009). He just seems to radiate sleaze, I mean worse than Pippo Pozzato. Wish he'd stay gone.

And yes, that makes me a hypocrite. Almost as much of a hypocrite as David Millar, in fact.

oh someone is still angry for the weekend. any striker from any team would have done the same thing.

Should be interesting to see how he gets on. Giro 2009 was great thanks to him and Menchov. Two d**ers that I kinda like.

can someone explain why diluca chose katusha's salary-free offer vs astana's salaried offer ? and that's after he forked out 170 thou to the uci.

what katusha has got that astana hasn't ?

“By choosing to sign a contract with Katusha I’ve given up on a good contract that Astana offered me"

Probably the prizes are much higher than the actual salary at Astana?

by prizes are you talking about clauses in his contract if he wins. because if that is the case that is pretty risky as I think di luca is a long way off being competitive enough to win alot of races

Yeah but cant really think of any other reason; for example at Katusha there's Rodriguez who's aiming at the April Classic as well, isnt it?
Kolobnev as well (2nd this year at Liegi)....

Di Luca is the UCI baith to let all riders pay ... in 10 years we will find out that never a penny has been transferred ...

Saturday, February 05, 2011 UCI confirms that Danilo Di Luca has paid €173,600 fine and can return to competition

So is for example Frank Schleck, and according to many on here, beyond doubt his brother Andrew. Do you think he should be got rid of too?

No Il Killer is a RLY good news for the sport... this year all the bada$$es of cycling are coming back that is = more emotion, more attacks, more backstabbing, no mercy in the races = NO CAREBEARS!

Just think what would Di Luca had done in the stage 2 of Le Tour 2010 when the pr*ck stopped the race cuz his GF was lying on the ground?
easy... He would had punched him in teh faceh!

lol. Ryaguas is like Wonderlance and Jens_Attacks mixed together. The in your face, i dont care what anyone else thinks + misspellings of wonderlance, for the Jens_attakcs cause of just supporting all the attacking riders regardless of how much they dope, and opposing suspensions just so that they could do more attacking.

Very entertaining

More Di Luca = more better :D

I just want more emotion and fun in cycling... I dont care if they were caught on doping... if they were caught and take his bans and come back is OK for me I have no problems with that... if they are caught again well take your ban will miss you but anyway... cycling is not perfect and is not clean but is way more cleaner than other sports except maybe swimming...

and the "in yah faceh" comment is because he's a fan of Leopard-sh*t team... cant stand any of those guys... except Jens! He deserves all my respect!

Okay, people I understand that in the case of a person such as Di Luca and his return to pro cycling some talk about doping is necessary and you are given some leeway here, but don't take it too far. Don't start to accuse other people of doping and don't make posts that are only concerned with doping

i don't like people who work for free so they will get a job and bypass others...and cut in front of the line this is not right and is driving the job to the bottom.

If someone came to your boss and offered to do your job for free..how would you feel about it.

Trust me, Diluca didn't steal some young talent his spot on a team. Katusha just saw this as an extra signing they normally wouldn't have done.

Well I am glad you believe Di Lucca= free. The sport needs more fans who believe!

I love DiLucca, great for the sport, another dapper dressing rock star, look forward to seeing that great looking Italian Stallion thrusting the pedals.
