If anyone won they deserve a new car and a place in history

Of course someone won. The voting didn't end before the race started. It was still possible to vote when it was clear those 3 would take it.

Edit: then again perhaps noone did?

Yikes! I forgot to close this at 15:30.

Did we have a winner? Anyone get the three in the proper order?

Susan
Nope. Seems like this competition won't have a winner anytime soon! :p

there needs to be some sort of rule when the race is shortened, because it means effectively the tipping closed very close to the finish..

I believe the rule when we had this contest during the Giro (I believe?) was that the guessing was closed when there was 20km left of the stage. That would be an option that covers changes in route as well.

Yes, that was the only one with the three top finishers. However, it came in after the cut-off time -- which I forgot to enforce.

I will have to consult as to what we will do about this. Don't worry, I will let you know as soon as we come to a decision.

Thanks for playing along everyone. Join us again for Milano-Sanremo, and I hope you all are better then!

Could just add this prize and the next one together for M-SR? There's probably more chance of guessing who'll win there.
