This is what I was wondering about. Kimmage asked the right question about who was in the room packing his bags if you know what I mean. His blood runners and helpers.

Did you take it with you to the Tour or give it to someone else?

I gave it to someone else. I can’t tell you the name because I gave it to the authorities so they can…I mean there are certain people’s names I don’t want to give out yet until they do what they have to do.

Lim seems like the prime answer if you cross-match it with the e-mails. But why would he mention him in the e-mails and not to Kimmage?

Seems to be no news on Mr. Rice Cakes for a while now, anyone know how the investigation treated him?

I think there is validity to this. I do not think that JV's unwillingness to talk is a sign that his team is dirty. Perhaps he has too much skin in the game to be completely candid or he thinks that it will too much damage to the sport.

JV's response at the end shows that he was just playing his usual game of running two teams - one for the media, and the one which exists in the real cycling world. He has done a great job of managing perception.

Here is the complete interview. Much more info here

I just6 finished reading it. Great interview. Floyd was the fall guy, and even though he decided not to take it, I am becoming convinced it will make no difference. Cycling is corrupt from top to bottom, and none of his revelations are going to amount to much of anything. Lance will skirt by, and Pat and his dumb a$$ will keep saying the most absurd, dishonest things time and again, and cyclingnews will merely report what happened and actually investigate nothing. Gotta stay on friendly terms with the riders and governing body if you want a press pass for the next race...

Reading that made me sick, but not over Floyd. I have respect for him. I am not sure I can say that for anyone else involved...other than Kimmage. That my friend is a journalist. Everything else is just fluff for the advertisers.

I just put in on a dutch forum.

No real reaction thus far. Normally Dutch forums are full of one line reactions of pedandic spiteful idiocy so I don't expect much.

Wow,
Why do you want to shoot down a national hero?

Kimmage forgot to ask what Landis thought was the low point of his immoral and criminal behavior. was it lying to your mom and dad? Was it handshakes with people giving you money for a legal defense? Did you feel bad when you and Arnie Baker hacked into the French database? Did you feel bad putting lawyers that are called clowns through the motions? They defended you even when what they were defending was a scam..who is the clown? And how old is Kimmage? He finds that Landis saying his parents were right all along as profound ? As Kimmage writes he drove toward Palm Springs he should have looked to the left..out past the windmills and the exits for the marine base..the vast desert filled with meth labs that Landis can work in..Landis's next career will be in Joshua Tree in a trailer

....and there's more:

Glad to see that asshat Daniel Benson get thrown under the bus. Serves him and the other CN hacks right. Perhaps if they did their jobs properly for once then people like Kimmage and others wouldn't have such a low opinion of them.

The likes of Benson are as much a part of the problem as McQuaid, Armstrong and Ferrari.

An independent press is a fanciful notion in all but the rarest of cases anymore. His criticism of CN is warranted and illuminating. If all "journalism" means here is "lets water down a watered down article from someone else and pretend we are a 'news' organization" then they are only part of the larger problem.

Or alternativley, Floyd could caretake the Spahn Ranch as Charlie Manson has other habitation.

And the sad thing is that, even if what you write is true, it pales in comparison to the fraud and lies told by Mr. Armstrong.

You seem to know a lot about meth labs, projecting much???

Did Kohl say anything about Michael B.?

Yes, during TdF 2009 if I remember correctly or just before it. That a few of Rabo riders often visited an Austrian lab or something, including Michael Boogerd and Menchov.

Date etc. are from the top off my head. I'll have to look it up :p.

You won't be the only one. ;)

Hey look, Vaughters is the one who told the story. And he did tell the story. Seems JV likes to jazz things up...in more than just that context evidently.

:(

That place happens to be called 29 Palms California also known as (in the Marine Corps) 29 stumps. What is the relationship between the Sunday Times – Kimmage article (Multi Colored Fish Hacks) and meth lab’s errr Whisky Tango Village and Floyd Landis? Do you have that place locked down for yourself already?

Freddy V?

I still wonder if Freddy rubbed him down with some testosterone cream without Floyd knowing it.

Do not let some forum members see that bolded bit. They will have a meltdown of epic proportions. ;)

Hey, doesn't Floyd live near Hemet, a rather odd place for a man with no visible income to reside?

Everyone has their own favourite rider, and for me that was Menchov untill Gesink rode the TdF in 2009. But relief for them is that nothing came out of the investigation, if I remember correctly :p.
