Was thinking of changing my username on here? Although I found it not easy to come up with an alternative. For example, I don’t like usernames that donate a posters gender, such as, prefixes followed by ‘chick’ ‘girl’ or names prefixed with Miss or Missy, Mrs. Or something pretty like Lucy Lu or Lippy Lu… etcetera. If male, flip side of the coin are edifices like ‘big boy’, ‘bounty hunter’ or ‘bad ass’ give me the creeps. Then there is ‘fan boy/girl’ excruciating. All an exercise in exacerbating a stereotype. All a bit doggy!

So I thought – keep in mind neutrality. Keep it fairly real, anonymous is a preferred choice, helps with longevity. Or just go with something to do with your interests, or views on things and add some humour. This is ok. With neutral it could be a made up nonsense word or anagram. Interests maybe a favourite animal, writer or sport star hero, again ok – if it floats your boat. Views on thing will be self-evident.

So my initial thought was …. ‘cycling has become ridiculous’, but although donates a viewpoint, this is hardly neutral and not to mention the potential animosity this could cause given this is a cycling forum. Could always go with the popular ‘marginal gains’ instead.

Ok back with the personal, what about ‘used2bfast’ (all lower case) but found this to be a little self-deprecating to one’s current status, a bit like but worst still is ‘oldhasbeen’. What about something adventurous like ‘renegade’, or ‘daresay’, or silly like ‘heads-up’ ‘posts a junky’ or ‘crash dummy’ they might work!

Then I thought maybe I could introduce a famous cyclist into the equation, a bit like ‘Fearless Greg LeMond’, but not to copy right – do a spin on it like ‘Not-fat-like-Greg LeMond’, but then I figured a certain administrator might delete it.

No I think better still is ‘never- mind- the- boll*ocks’, this four word lexicon will also have copy right issues, so change to, ‘it’s all boll*ocks- so- never -mind’, yes that’s it!

These choices are long in structure though, but that didn’t stop the Welsh from naming a Town Llanfairpwll-gwyngyll-gogerych-wyrndrobwll-llantysiliogogogoch - meaning "St. Mary's Church in the hollow of white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of St. Tysilio near the red cave." Note: Double ll’s are pronounced with tong in roof of mouth then hiss like a cat, and you can even pull a face with it if you like. Similar are ch’s, only tong is placed to back of throat then hock back like you’re about to gob. A bit tricky ah! Just like said in the film Twin Town, “If all else fails try Wales” charming….. And the prolific usage of the ‘F’ Word in that film isn’t Welsh, but Anglo Saxon.

Now for all our American friends on here, and I know there are some. Wales is the bit of rock that juts out into the Irish Sea adjoining England due West. To the south it is separated by the Bristol Channel, it is a few miles from middle England both in distance and politics. And as demonstrated above, has its own language, a Celtic derivative or ancient British.

And if he can do it – so can you! http://youtu.be/Z0bR89RBaTU

Here we go, loads a money, still not funny - bad joke Jimmy Carr http://youtu.be/tj59OB2_Bcg

No, I think I will stay with ‘horsinabout’, b*gger it! (Anglo Saxon).

Changes to the law several years ago made it an offence to ride a bicycle while holding an umbrella, operating a mobile phone, or wearing headphones, though each of the behaviours remains a common sight amongst those who rely on their bike to get around the crowded city, where the price of a parking space for a car can sometimes cost as much as renting a small apartment

this law was mildly enforced for a few months of its enactment with warnings even though it carries a penalty of up to ¥50,000 (about $500). compare this to injuring a pedestrian on a bicycle has a fine of up to ¥20,000 (plus paying for medical costs).

now the law is completely ignored in most if not all jurisdictions.

it is also an offense to ride side by side and this is completely ignored as well. however, most people seem not to mind being held up by people riding like this. they probably don't know it is illegal even though when they are in school they are taught and tested on bicycle rules of the road.

monthly parking in downtown in any major city runs from ¥40,000 to well over ¥100,000.

Best to describe your own username. As Scallywag and Vagabond are name calling epithets, to give insult to the manner, actions or appearance of a person. So do you operate alone or in company? Bandit implies both. Are you a follower or a leader? I know there are more than one Scallywags on here.

Why ‘horsinabout’ well, it is also an epithet, like kidding around. I came on here to mock the hypocrisy in the sport for fun, playful like, not the same as trolling. Then a reverse dual meaning is - about horses. I is about horses. They are fast, free spirited and often misunderstood, but they like contact with humans and each other. And if you miss treat them, it’s your look out! http://youtu.be/apXGSzStESI

You either do or you don't lead, it is objective. Not wishful thinking:)

horse foolery, no, you are putting words into my post. Foolery is just not my style, sorry.

Good drawings though

Although pictorial imagery, they have an abstract feel to them, with the simple use of lines and black on white block colour. And I'm sure the cyclist is about to do a Sagan wheelie:)
