The St. Maarten airport runway is right by the beach. The pictures explain just how crazy it seems.

According to the current doctrines of mysticoscientism, we human animals are really and actually nothing but "organic patterns of nodular energy composed of collocations of infinitesimal points oscillating on the multi-dimensional coordinates of the space-time continuum". I'll have to think about that. Sometime. Meantime, I'm going to gnaw on this sparerib, drink my Blatz beer, and contemplate the a posteriori coordinates of that young blonde over yonder, the one in the tennis skirt, tying her shoelaces.

re bolded part: That's some a priori goodness right there.

About that first part, I read about the conference proceedings. I must admit that prima facie, the doctrine seems like something taken from Leibniz's Monadology, though modified of course by the productive suggestions provided by keynote speaker Mr. Lyser Gicacid-Diethylamide. I believe Dr. Gonzo was at that conference, in addition to Edgar Allen Poe and possibly, Dr. Zaius. Nevertheless, much oscillating ensued.

I realize that Japanese culture is built upon a different sociological structure than the west, but is that enough to explain the existence of Ice Cucumber Pepsi?

Hey Trompe,

I see that and raise you the Gibraltar Airport....

That is pretty cool. Another cool airport is Kansai International, which is built on a man made island. I've never been, but would like to one day.

Speaking of Airports, have any airports actually used Brian Eno's 'Music For Airports' as a musical backdrop? The ambient album was designed to lessen and calm any fear of flying that a person may or may not have.

I have been to Japan and I flew into Kansai International (Osaka), unfortunately it was at night so it was hard too tell.
