How An Aussie Forum War Ended In A Police Visit
It started with an Australian member of MBWorld posting used headers for sale on the forum's classifieds. It ended with the director of a performance chip company calling the police. What happened in between? Classic Aussie rules forum mob beatdown.

Who'd have thought an overzealous aftermarket-parts executive could generate the kind of on- and off-line backlash the Australians (motto: "If you haven't been punched in the face yet, wait five minutes") love to dole out? Follow along, it's a corker, this one, and a hint at what an angry forum mob can do if provoked enough.

Facebook sends guy CD with 1,222 PDFs of his 'social networking'
As if we needed more proof that Facebook remembers everything a user does on its website, 24-year-old Max Schrems of Vienna, Austria asked Facebook for a copy of all the data the social network has on file for him and not surprisingly, he got back a CD with a whopping 1,222 PDFs documenting his every move.

According to Threatpost, Schrems discovered that Facebook kept on file even the most detailed of things such as when he logged in and out of Facebook:

Collected together were records of when Schrems logged in and out of the social network, the times and content of sent and received messages and an accounting of every person and thing he's ever liked, posted, poked, friended or recorded. The archive captured friend requests, former or alternative names and email addresses, employment and relationship statuses and photos, in some cases with their GPS locations included, to name a few.

Lucas Hembree and his dog Juno
An East Tennessee boy with a rare disease and his former shelter dog form a unique relationship.
The ability of Lucas Hembree, 4, to live life to the fullest is slowly slipping away. He suffers from Sanfilippo syndrome, a rare disease that affects his entire body.
There is no treatment and no cure for the disease. Doctors expect Lucas to be in a vegetative state within five years.
His mother Jennifer said his life expectancy is only the mid teens. "Everyday is a different challenge, everyday is a different journey," she said.
Lucas' parents considered a service dog to help with the daily challenges. But at a cost of $14,000, the idea not only seemed unaffordable but also a long shot at best, said his father Chester.
"At the time, the service dog handlers said Lucas is too spastic. It'll never work," he said.
The doubters, had never met Juno. She's a Belgian Malanois rescued from an East Tennessee animal shelter just days before being euthanized.
The Hembrees paid about a hundred bucks to take Juno home. Malanois are known for their ability to quickly learn commands. Yet, from the time Juno met Lucas, Chester said there was something instinctive about their relationship.
"We noticed one day she was turning circles around him and whining, put her nose on him and nudge him. We checked his oxygen levels and they were low," he said.
Juno is a literal shoulder for Lucas to lean on, and so much more, says his father. "She has given him so much confidence, before he had problems with social settings. Now, If he gets nervous, he pulls her closer to him. She's made a drastic difference," Chester said.

Foo Fighters rocked so hard that seismic tremors were recorded
In a story likely to go down in rock and roll history,* the Foo Fighters and fans in Auckland, New Zealand generated so much pure head banging glory the earth literally moved under their feet. Seismometers in the region started recording distinct "shakes" as soon as the Foos took the stage Tuesday night.

According to the Auckland-based blog GeoNet, the tremors resembled volcanic rumblings recorded at well known volcanic hot spots Mt. Ruapehu and White Island. But scientists quickly figured out the tremors were man made.

First, only the tracking stations located 0.9 miles and 1.2 miles from the gig recorded any activity. Second, the strong correlation in the time of the shakes and the time of the show tell the tale. The "biggest shakes" were registered as the Foo Fighters went onstage at 8:20 PM.

Little Miss

Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet
Eating a Big Mac and fries
Along came a spider and sat down beside her
'Yuck', it said, 'I prefer flies'.

Heroin Lyrics
(Reed)

I don't know just where I'm going
But I'm gonna try for the kingdom, if I can
'Cause it makes me feel like I'm a man
When I put a spike into my vein
And I'll tell ya, things aren't quite the same
When I'm rushing on my run
And I feel just like Jesus' son
And I guess that I just don't know
And I guess that I just don't know

I have made the big decision
I'm gonna try to nullify my life
'Cause when the blood begins to flow
When it shoots up the dropper's neck
When I'm closing in on death
And you can't help me now, you guys
And a
You can all go take a walk
And I guess that I just don't know
And I guess that I just don't know

I wish that I was born a thousand years ago
I wish that I'd sail the darkened seas
On a great big clipper ship
Going from this land here to that
In a sailor's suit and cap
Away from the big city
Where a man can not be free
Of all of the evils of this town
And of himself, and those around
Oh, and I guess that I just don't know
Oh, and I guess that I just don't know

Heroin, be the death of me
Heroin, it's my wife and it's my life
Because a mainer to my vein
Leads to a center in my head
And then I'm better off and dead
Because when the smack begins to flow
I really don't care anymore
About all the Jim-Jim's in this town
And all the politicians makin' crazy sounds
And everybody puttin' everybody else down
And all the dead bodies piled up in mounds

'Cause when the smack begins to flow
Then I really don't care anymore
Ah, when the heroin is in my blood
And that blood is in my head
Then thank God that I'm as good as dead
Then thank your God that I'm not aware
And thank God that I just don't care
And I guess I just don't know
And I guess I just don't know
