Astana performances in 2012 were pretty remarkable at certain times, the classics, Kessiakoff etc.

I guess UCI picking this pre-TDF date has a story too:D

About Roman I remember cracking one day and winning from a break the next day. Landis?

This whole process is really fishy, it is quite impossible to not suspect UCI and I doubt that Cookson is any better compared to McQuaid.

Because he would have been an even bigger asset to AC this year. Tinkov as a team wasn't a threat to Froome last year. Things have changed this year. Froome and Cookson realized that Contador could win this year.

A serious question.

Do you really believe that or are you just trolling?

Yeah the new UCI is no better than the old one. Cookson doing favours for british cycling, why would that surprise anyone?

I just hope Contador doesnt test positive in the tour..

Gotta love the UCI.

Quick to defend Cortisone Chris but in the background they are sending letters to the K-man about doping in 2011!

Meanwhile Rogers gets off because.... (He speaks English?)

How does this all work??

Perhaps he should have gone the "non-altitude-native" defense so he could keep riding?

This whole story explains why Astana is underperforming this year, they are not clean except Aru.

Ok, well this is strange. The abnormalities relate to 2011 and 2012, when he was crap, not 2013. Then he gets the letter in 2013 and after that its left alone for a year, then comes back.

Perhaps his baseline was doped and he was clean in 2011 and 2012, hence the abnormalities. His renaisance in 2013 was quite remarkable.

I don't know what I think. I just heard the story myself. I would need a lot more questions answered before I really knew what to think. The abnormalities were from 2011 and 2012 - why did Roman not know of these till June '13? When he gave his "expert medical" reason, why did it take the UCI 7 months to get back to him. Why know? Why right before the Tour? He has raced since May. And who can really answer these questions? The UCI?...I wouldn't trust a word they say.

So an eastern european rider gets a year of confidentiallity while a Anglo gets his name blemished before he gets the chance to explain himself:eek:

You guys really need to investigate this Commonwealth indemnification thing more closely. I think there's something to it. Clearly, because none of your above mentioned profiles raised any flags.

Maybe the Queen is involved? Pippa Middleton likes riding bikes: connect the dots from there.

Different teams, different PR strategies. In neither case was it the UCI making it public.

If by clean you mean less dirty, then yeah, that would be my guess.

Funny sh!t, if true.
