Outnumbered by the Dutch.. seemed pretty clear they where working together.. But great great podium by Ian..

and Great race.. three very deserving riders..

Traksel played that well. He never attacked and forced the other two to close down gaps. Brilliant riding and a great result for Vacansoleil (sp).

Their wild card bid for the Tour has to be getting serious consideration after their start of the year.

Traksel played it smartest and could rely on his sprint. Great tactics, because he made Flens do most of the work to get back Stannard and to drop standard in the last 2k.

Good win for Traksel. He and Flens looked the most consistent in the break. Stannard used everything he had to catch the group after falling off the back. Very impressive for all three; even Thor and Roulston showed a lot of heart.

I think what we saw was that they certainly did not work together at all.

Stannard seemed to be the one with least in the tank, and he did not want to rely on his sprint because he started at km8

They let Stannard come back a couple of times because they refused to take turns.

Ah well, good day for Dutch cycling.

ye they could have pulled the hammer down and ended stannards hopes earlier if they were working together, there games with each other kept him in it.
