Moreno won this last year pulling a bus. Purito will probably commit to helping his roomie repeat the trick

Hope Purito figures out early if he's feeling okay post-crash or not. Assuming Katusha has a set plan before they hit the Mur, they have to be favorites on this absurd grade.

Something like 5 minutes back. He's got serious knee problems, so i doubt if he can do something the next two races.

May I ask where you heard this info about a serious knee problem? I'm not doubting you, just curious as I haven't seen anything about it elsewhere.

I'm curious to see what Sanchez can do for Gilbert here. If we see a betancour-like attack at the bottom this time, sanchez might be there to close the gap or tow Gilbert abit.

I believe he is in Trentino, so unlikely.

Sorry I meant an attack similiar to anton's in 2010 so early on in the climb will certainly make it hard for gilbert to win it.
the best thing samu can do is to chase or slow down any early attacks.
Im pathetically hoping for a slow climb up the mur:eek:

Im hoping for a serious attack before the Mur. There is almost zero chance for it, but I would love to see an elite group of 10/15 riders splitting off the front on the 2nd last Mur, and then continue till the last Mur

agreed

Last year Betancur was a beast, but made the mistake of going a little bit too early. If he was on good form, I'd bet on him, but we are unsure of his shape at the moment. I see that Arredondo will also start - looking forward to seeing what he can do!

You also can say the fact he went early, managed him to get on the podium.

Why is Sky sending such as weak team out there? Ben Swift is climbing? lol

Nieve and Lopez are their best bets on the team. Who else should they send, counting out Porte and Froome because they've got other things on their mind, and Henao because nobody knows what's going on with him?

Can the forum help me out here with regard to Moreno. His results over the last two years look mediocre. And yet he is joint favourite to win??? Any comments will be most welcome!

Just realised watched a duff YouTube video which showed Purito winning last year.
