It's La Flèche Wallonne! The race in which Valverde wins, and all the others come 2nd or worse. Can Pogacar, Alphillipe, Evenepoel, Vingegaard (and maybe Wout) and others do anything to prevent Valverde winning? The answer is no.

PS: Roglic unfortunately not racing because of his knee pain, that he already carried from the Basque Country race.

Also, not to forget the women's race. Serial winner Anna Van der Breggen retired, so it's time for some other dutch lady to win now.

Roglic's withdrawal changes a lot (as he was one of main contenders) and will probably make the finale less exciting. It will be between Ala and Pog, methinks. The Grandpa would have to roll back years to win it again.

Yeah Roglic not being there makes me a lot less excited about this race.

Pogacar to attack seated go seated from 600m to go and ride everyone off the wheel.

What about Hirschi, who has already won once here?

I don't know...I feel like OP is kinda overstating the unbeatability of a guy who last won when Vincenzo Nibali was the reigning Giro champion, Pogacar 18 years old and Van Aert and MvdP two guys doing cyclocross.

It could actually make it more exciting since there will be one less team going all in on a sprint on the Mur de Huy.

Guys, I think we all forgot about the rule of almost 42. Remember Grandpa Horner? He was approaching 42 when he crushed peak Lo Squalo at the Vuelta. Bala is approaching 42 now so expect a monstrous peak from him: distancing Ala&Pog by a minute is on the cards!

Valverde to attack on Cote de Tancremont and go solo all the way until reaching the finish line and stopping before the next rider finally catches up so he finishes second place.

Or Valverde to win his six FW in the final sprint.

Alaphilippe has only been beaten by Valverde so far in this race.

Let's see who else can challenge him on his sixth attempt.

No, I also think Valverde will win with a long solo attack.

Pogacar to go early and then being told on the radio to slow down because he would beat the record by 30 seconds!

Higuita and Martinez with an outside chance. I think it would be the first time since we had Henao and Betancur in the race!
