Good moment for Van Vleuten to attack. Lippert looks stronger today.
Trek and Movistar could use their numbers here, but it seems like they're just waiting for the Mur now.

But she could feel the strongest today.A lot of work for no real benefit
Yup, if she's that much better she will have a taken a lot out of everyone else..But she could feel the strongest today.
Dominant ride. (Lol... nice F-bomb!!)Van Vleuten with a Valverde timing for top 7/8.
Vollering the strongest!
In her defense, she was the only one from SD Worx in the last 5km and did most of the work. Played it perfect.Impressive ride but ugh SD Worx really needs to be broken up somehow.
I don't think positioning really came into it. That looked like a crazy move by Vollering to go hard right from the bottom, you'd expect a rider to blow up like Niewiadoma did every time after trying that.Great finish from Gaia, and Liane did very well, too, but she was too far behind at the bottom of the Mur.
For once they didn't have the numbers, but it didn't matter because Vollering was strong enough to put everyone under pressure on the penultimate climb and then TT her way up the Mur.In her defense, she was the only one from SD Worx in the last 5km and did most of the work. Played it perfect.

The word play implies some sort of tactical effort but Vollering won this on pure strenght. I'd love to see how the strongest riders would race with less watt in the legs.In her defense, she was the only one from SD Worx in the last 5km and did most of the work. Played it perfect.
Involved in a crash not far from the finish, I think.Where was CUL?
She played it perfect as in "break the group, ride in front so they don't attack". It's just an expression in my language, didn't meant it like played it tactically with teammates. She was just a level above the rest indeed and made it a harder race. The word play implies some sort of tactical effort but Vollering won this on pure strenght.
