No Van Aert? The guy is in superb form. I guess after tough TdF and two WC competitions he needs some rest.

I have no idea why 2 days ago Dumoulin said he'll pass on FW and now he's suddenly doing FW and LBL.

Either he is really eager to race or Jumbo has a lack of men?

Van Aert isn't much of a favorite to win here and he has bigger fish to fry.

Dumoulin probably riding cause they took Roglic out, so maybe they want a big name rider there, and perhaps due to chances of AGR being canceled.

I also guess he just wants to ride more one-day races, especially in his training area.
No he was specifically saying FW was a bad idea cuase he wanted to ride for the podium in AGR and he needed the rest.

Interesting - and weird - that Alaphilippe decides to pass on this. It's 5 minutes of bikeracing to add another classic to your palmares. However, with Alaphilippe out, the field is very open this year. Woods, Hirschi, Kwiatkowski and Pogacar are my favorites here.

Is Fuglsang not riding because of covid/quarantine restrictions, or because it is too close to the Giro?

a bit of both, I guess, I was surprised there are riders (Konrad) going for the "double" at all. Apparently most teams are taking the car to go to races these days, and it's certainly quite a trip from Belgium to Sicily...

who said that Woods is not racing though? On his Instagram he posted "Tomorrow I’ll be tackling the Mur de Huy" this morning

It means PCS is not up to date.

Good because it would be odd for him to skip this race, even though he has not been performing well here historically.

EF the strongest team on paper? Although for this race it doesn't really count for much usually.

Yeah, Woods will go. Also, in an interview with CN before the Worlds, he said that it was full on from here with the Worlds, Flèche, LBL, Amstel (I think) and the Vuelta.

PCS are having troubles keeping up post-corona.
