thats why i couldnt work out at the top of the climb why the schlecks eased off a bit? they could have really ended the race for quite a few others

The difference being that the penultimate climb of the Mur has had more impact on the legs.

Hmmm... The Astana boys don't seem to be making much headway so far.

That said it's still far, but they'll need other teams (e.g. Lotto) to help them out.
