To not overlap with the finish of Finistère.

I suppose they would have been hard-pressed to time it as perfectly as they did with Chautelin yesterday.
It was amazing.
Vollering attacked. You could switch the watch the finale in France, and then back to watch the finish here.

The only jersey which is still open is the mountain jersey. Even Ghekiere could still win it.
Podium is probably decided. Reusser and AvdB will maybe switch places tomorrow. I don't see anyone else to be stronger then the current top3.

Yeah, even if Reusser and/or VDB has a bad day, the rest are still quite a bit behind and are just as or more likely to collapse tomorrow.

They' ve started so early that they'll probably be past the Colladiella when we get live images.

They started early so as not to coincide with the Giro broadcast. They also started earlier yesterday.
It seems that it has rained or is raining.

Riders who want to win the QOM will quite likely have to score maximum points on both Colladona and Colladiella, because the stage winner will get 20 points since Cotobello is this year's Cima Estela Domínguez. Vollering probably doesn't care too much about winning it, but it may be hard for her to "gift" it to Muzic if the latter isn't strong enough to score points on Cotobello.

Now there are also enough riders up the road that there won't be any points to score from the peloton on Colladona, although Valtulini could easily end up getting caught before the top. Which she now has been.

In the end only De Vries and Skalniak-Sójka survived, so Muzic could score 6 points and also become the rightful owner of the jersey for the time being.

We are live with 43 km left. It isn't raining at the moment, but it is cold and damped.

Faulkner's bike had taken a much bigger hit than her there.

Nice attack by Trinca Colonel. She has of course raced bikes (road and later MTB) from a young age despite her late arrival on the big stage, but that doesn't always make a confident descender.

Muzic and García are of course not immediate dangers for the GC, but some of the teams behind will get nothing out of having strength in numbers if they don't use them for something before Cotobello.

SDW are actually doing some solid teamwork here. I can't believe my eyes.
No competing goals here. The woman responsible for most of the worst teamwork fails is now out of the car, and the one they're all riding for.

But now they're gone and it's all on to van der Breggen to do the work herself. It's a long way to try to Indurain-La-Plagne it with Vollering so comfortable on her wheel.

Demi needs to get the clear glasses from Alpe d'Huez back though. It added a lot to that stage being able to see absolutely everything on her face as she wrestled her way to the summit.

Demi never had a SDW rider pulling for her that long when she was at SDW
She had Marlen, in fairness. Those two always worked off each other well. And weirdly enough Anna VDB did plenty for her back when Demi first moved across, but then as soon as Anna got in the car it was like it went from pure collaboration to sabotage either through malice or incompetence (or sometimes both).

Not sure why van der Breggen felt the need to react to Bunel. Kerbaol I kinda get.
