And I very much hope notDon't forget that Kopecky and ELB were both missing.
Hopefully Kasia will find here form at the Tour.
That would be more practical for future use when her trophy cabinet gets too full.Is that basically an ice bucket for wine as a prize ?

It is deeply upsetting to me that the association with GC action on the descent of La Colladiella is Wout van "never actually contested a GC" Aert crashing and notRoberto Heras winning the Vuelta in one of the most dramatic stages in the history of the race.
Van Aert crashed on the descent of Collada Llamena the day after in last year's Vuelta. I don't think he did much in the stage to Cuitu Negru (PCS has him listed as in between the peloton and the break for 7 km in that stage). It is deeply upsetting to me that the association with GC action on the descent of La Colladiella is Wout van "never actually contested a GC" Aert crashing and notRoberto Heras winning the Vuelta in one of the most dramatic stages in the history of the race.
It seems in the clips, LR talked a bit about the profile of that stage to compare to this one, so that may be the source of the confusion. It may be him thinking about that stage when describing the climbs of this one (he did mention "rainy descents in Asturias" in general shortly before), me interpreting over-specifically (wouldn't be the first time of course), or something in editing making the two seem conflated.Van Aert crashed on the descent of Collada Llamena the day after in last year's Vuelta. Either way, when it comes to GC importance of descents in Asturias, the Pajares 2005 stage really ought to be exhibit A.
