That is true....

Thats why landis needs undeniable (sp?) proof or his goose is cooked....hope he's payed for bodyguards

that is a very good point - tonight ive done it and I feel shattered........there are going to be many fans who would have to do the same - where do we go from here? Cycling will recover but its going to take a while I think

But it's not Floyd's war.

Floyd will write a book, do an exclusive interview, whatever. He will get his soul back and maybe a bit of his life, he's not going to court again.

He's just the first neutron in a chain reaction.

Welcome...........

You were a long time getting here and believe you me I know that it was not a pleasant journey.

For me I enjoy the sport - I don't get too caught up on the riders.
Kelly who is commentating in the background was my all time 'hero', I have ridden with him, he even took my armwarmers when he was in a lead car - but like a lot of 'heroes' in cycling he has his flaws and he doped.

Love the sport - pity the participants, hopefully after today things might change.

I guess this just shows Landis to be a real cancer lover.

I think I'll be glued to the computer today.

Universal Sports mentioned it as well, calling Landis "bitter", and saying, "we may never know", and "believe what you want to believe".

I think that's probably a decent assessment. Part of what Landis is saying to the press is probably true, but he's not exactly an unimpeachable witness and the fact is that the truth will probably never be confirmed one way or the other...leaving people to believe what they want to believe.

Well, if Landis' comments are corroborated by other witnesses and/or he has hard evidence, then it's going to be hard to still believe the myth.

It's hard, you know? Basically, I...that's a funny way to phrase the question, 'the truth of that day', I don't know what the truth is, frankly. It's still as much of a mystery to me as anyone. That being said, Floyd is a great guy, he's a dear friend, and I only wish the best for him. And I think what happened with Floyd, my experience with him, it really inspired a lot of what we do with this program, so I hope that we can put it behind us and look forward to real positive things in the future and use it as an example for good things to come. In the end, I really and truly believe that your chances of winning clean are far greater than if you're not clean. The human machine is really intelligent. Drugs are a way that scared athletes try to modify certain aspects of their physiology, but they don't address the whole. It's like putting bigger intakes in your car without changing the exhaust, or putting bigger wheels on without changing the suspension. At some point, the modifications don't help at all and the whole machine just breaks down.

I doubt Clayton went over there all-innocent considering the amount of riders who subsequently tested positive, who he rode with over here.

If not all innocent, then hoping nonetheless that he could make it as a pro without being on the program. Hence his big-time disillusionment when he got spat out the back race after race by riders he knew were just scrubbers.

Flandis is going to be just fine. Anyone who saw him a few months ago realized that things were going to go very badly for him if he didn't make a change. He's going to come away from this OK. Guess it shows it's never too late to do the right thing.

While there will probably be lots of non-denial denials today, a few guys are gonna roll. Two words come to mind: Marion Jones.

How do you think some skinny bike racer's going to make out in prison? Probably not as well as she did. The thought of being someone's girlfriend for a couple of years is going to get a couple of guys to flip.

As far as Zabriski, there are guys going back to his Saturn days that will man up and say he's was juicing (one guy already did and it was buried, but it'll come back up).

The scope of Flandis' allegations is so wide that there's no way this genie is getting put back in the bottle. Honestly, I think BMC's chance of getting into the Tour was what really cracked him. I think the hypocrisy of it all was just too much.

It's going to be a fun ride today!

I think Flandis has more detail and phots. I think he's waiting to see what Lance and co. come back with and then Floyd will drip feed this stuff out....

Good for FL for coming clean. I don't believe there is much doubt for most people that LA etal and most of the peloton for that matter where/are doping. The problem I have with this is would FL be speaking out if he were not caught. If so, congrats to him, if not then don't use the "I want to clear my conscience," line of BS. My gut feeling is he conscience wouldn't be bothered if he was found innocent.

I think you're the only one around here who is shocked - most are just pleased he might finally get his comeuppance.

Versus is doing their damn-dest to make this story go away - they have flooded my twitter feed with 25 tweets in the last 10 minutes, including stories about the Giro, ATOC, a new Armstrong video...No mention of this story.

Armstrong doesn't have that many legal options, he doesn't want to end up in a civil case discussing whether or not he doped.

It's the Oscar Wilde one, don't take a libel action against someone for calling you a homosexual, if you actually are a homosexual. A funnier version of the same thing is Gillian Taylforth's failed libel action against the Sun newspaper.

Lim, and Andy Rhys, are the two names that made me the most angry reading the letter. I believed that little F*cker when he said he had nothing to do with it and I defended him. Now it comes out he was doing the transfusions. What a POS

Read the letter, there is a witness that is not a rider or staff.

he didn't come clean - he's still busy claiming the 2006 test was wrong! In other words, he now wants us to believe he was doping for four straight years but that the one test he failed was wrong.

He must be looking for a loophole to avoid perjuring himself or something.

+ 1,000 Hands down. Best. Refreshed the live ticker about 3X a minute for a couple hours. Couldn't wait to get home and tape it.
