This is the problem with cancer, isn't it?

If you don't remove it, it can come back and kill you - or in this case the sport itself.

The cancer is and has been doping, and has been doing it for a long time.

There is no doping scandal, and thus no cancer, bigger than Lance. You cannot brush a mountain under a carpet.

Good of you to admit that you are inventing things.
lol :D

There is no need to invent this. It's common practice.

Of course not for Floyt and yours.

Don't fool yourself. Oh wait, you just did. Too late. Good performance and good laugh for me and many others.

lol

To play the Maserati-game:
Have you got a link that says Floyt wasn't paid ? lololol

I remember you! You're the Aussie who said you loved nothing more than watching British people's hopes and dreams fail or get crushed.

I appreciate it must be frustrating not being able to hear what's going on from your vantage point on the high horse in your glass house.

He said that? perhaps he has still got the hump from after the Beijing Olympics i think.

Now he's laying into Landis?? the man is clearly an idiot.

Hajo flew all the way to New Zealand in an attempt to interview Floyd but Floyd refused, as he has with most interview requests over the last 6 months. After others vouched for Hajo Floyd agreed to meet him for a few hours at a Shopping Mall in Orange County just prior to his flight back to Germany.

You have made the claim that Floyd was paid in an attempt to smear Floyd and the journalist.

Common Practice? Susan, how many times have you paid a source?

Thanks Susan,

From the article
He added, ""as far as the UCI is concerned, nothing about a cover up or taking a bribe or some kind of race results manipulation would surprise me."

This struck me as interesting. It could have been a risky statement on Floyd's part - though he may have direct evidence of it. Then again, if he and LeMond are actually sharing notes at this point he may have more than a little evidence to back this up.

It was the 1+1 thought that the two may be cooperating that seemed intriguing.

LeMond: "Armstrong threatened my life"
"Lance threatened me," he said. "He threatened my wife, my business, my life. His biggest threat consisted of saying that he (Armstrong) would find ten people to testify that I took EPO."

In the interview, LeMond continued by holding the UCI responsible for their failure to deal with the problem of doping. "This problem goes beyond Armstrong," he said. "The Spanish scandal is another example, the entire system is corrupt, the UCI is corrupt."

@MadonePro

1)your'e just bitter :D

2)remark without class with regard to Mennonites is sad enough.

3)the outcome of the investigation against one of the biggest cheaters and liars in sports will show, how corrupt the country is...

I'm sad that I missed all of the offensive remarks as I'm sure that they showed the true intellectual level of Madone Pro.

German TV sounds great, The Klitchko brothers beating up US club fighters for several years on prime time, add Jonny Depp, Landis, Sparrow to that - sounds very good.

If lives and careers were built on fraud and deceit, then yes, absolutely it's fair that they be ruined.
Was it fair that Madoff's life was ruined after all his deceit and corruption? I'd say yes.

BINGO! Unless, of course, you've been supporting the fraud.
I can almost guarantee Floyd was not paid for ARD and Stade 2. Frankie and I were interviewed for ARD by Hajo Seppelt months ago. We didn't ask to get paid nor were we offered. I appeared in Stade 2's piece which aired today; I didn't ask to get paid nor was I offered. I was asked why I was speaking out now. I responded that I've always spoken out it's just that David Walsh & Pierre Ballester, L'Equipe and Le Monde were the only ones that cared. That said, if the media wants to make the truth known, let them.

Lance really stuck it to Floyd and the ARD interview. He refused to be interviewed but issued a terrifying statement labelling Landis a "lair". Brilliance. Sheer brilliance. Armstrong is really unleashing the big guns.*Watch out. Next up he will state*Floyd has ants in pants followed by saying "lair lair pants on fire". This could get ugly.

I agree theHog. Lance sure landed a knockout blow.

No need to sue Landis when you can cut through the media like Lance can.

For some reason the Floyd interview isn't up on the Stade2 site, even though the other subjects of the show are. Did they get a call from Armstrong?

I tried to watch it but the kids were making such a racket I had trouble catching everything. For anyone who hangs out here there was nothing new. Floyd confirmed that the entire TDF USPS team had blood transfusions together in the bus, that he saw Armstrong take EPO and that he had provided him with EPO. As she said earlier in this thread, Betsy was interviewed on the hospital room incident, then they showed a written statement from Dr Craig Nichols denying that any such question had been asked (of course they didn't say that Nichols wasn't in the hospital room at the time and if I recall correctly he wasn’t yet a doctor of Lance). They also played the conversation between Lemond and McIlvain where she said she wouldn’t lie about what she heard in the hospital room. There was also a look at Novitzky and Fabiani.

At the time I had the impression it was pretty light, but now that I recall all that was shown it was a decent summary. Not many comments by the journalists, but as I have said previously they tend towards kissing Armstrong’s @ss more than anything.

I finally got this "move on and stop this negativity" and "waste of money" caper
eg an accountant on a charge of fraud 5 years ago. Dont charge him - just move on.
Madone, you win. I am convinced

What is the definition of a witch hunt? - answer >> an entity or entities attempting to prevent the truth from being revealed.
eg have noted some "cleansing" of the internet

cheers dallas

No I don't. But just like the trash that is called Newspapers, the cycling media is doing all it can to fuel this for longer.
Cycling News lead everyday, with another doping angle, Cycling Weekly's editor leads his own personal vendatta, probably cos no British rider will ever win the TDF.

Why does news always have to be 'Bad News'.

Because, you know, C'est la vie.

With great priviledges come great responsiblities. If you don't behave in a certain way, then your privileges get exposed to the critical wrath of the masses.

This is what is meant by democracy and a free press. Otherwise those with such privileges can do whatever they want, which is called tyranny.;)

At the risk of making too much of it, the timing of Landis' interviews is interesting. Associated Press ran an article on the politics of investigating Armstrong which came out on Friday, IIRC. That article will have ****ed off the US Attorney working on the case. The counter attack from Landis comes to German and French TV on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend here in the US. Could this mean that an indictment is coming sooner than many have predicted? I think the Grand Jury in Central CA meets on Wednesdays. I would look for the indictment to be sealed while perps are rounded up. This isn't going to be like hiding from the doping control folks at your home. If I were the AUSA, I think I'd make arrests before Christmas. Time will tell.
