The Hitch said:
Why was Flecha ****ed off at Voeckler? There were 2 other riders who carried on, besides its not like if they waited Flecha nor Hoogie could have gotten back on.
Hes attention seeking? Explain.
In short: hes an act.
Voeckler always acts whenever he gets on TV or there is camera nearby. For once I do dislike him because in my opinion you shouldnt be screwing others over if they got in a bad position. For example when Flecha & Hoogerland were taken out by a car, you see Voeckler look back and accelerate.
LLS actually didn't want to ride on cause its kind of respectless to accelerate when someone gets taken out like that, but because Voeckler felt the need to be a hero for the French he accelerated and wanted the Yellow Yersey. And the horrible crash the actual reason Voeckler got yellow, the peloton definatly decellerated (sp?) because of the crash.
As for the acting, look at the stage L'Alpe D'Huez when Contador and Schleck rode away with Voeckler chasing, he spent half the mountain being stupid and swearing and shouting at himself, his teammates who did a great job of helping him and throwing water bottles. Why does someone need to put up a show like that? And also on the L'Alpe D'Huez, you saw him act so bad whenever the camera was pointed at him, its ridiculous. He also got very mad at the Dutch crowd in corner 7 which were mad at Voeckler cause he rode on when the car accident happened.
As for screwing over other people for his own success or not granting others success. Look at the stage from this year's Dauphine to La Toussuire. Pinot and Voeckler are riding infront from the descent from the climb before the Toussuire, the Joux-Plane if I remember correctly. Gesink and Garate attack on the descent of the Joux Plane and Gesink catches up a few kilometers later on the climb, before Gesink reached the group Voeckler was doing his together with Pinot, but stopped doing so when Gesink got to the group and denied to do so when Gesink asked him to help him out so they could possibly stay away.
Another example is this years WC RR, Hoogerland tries to escape on the little hill and gets a few guys with him, including Voeckler. Everyone rides a bit on front taking turns, besides Voeckler. When the group gets caught by machine-like Wiggins Voeckler decides to accelerate all of a sudden on his own, why didnt he just help out by taking turns, but instead he decided to rambo on his own for some TV-time.
Do I need to give more examples why I dislike Voeckler?
