Similar route as last year, it's a bit shorter in the first part yet they reuse the same profile from last year's race:

Thanks for starting the thread! :) (1.1 races, the only races to watch!)
TV from 13.55 CET according to the website.
Menten last year's winner and De Lie for Lotto, and the weather forecast is for a dry day, 9 degrees C and not windy. Get the popcorn ready!

Kinda hoping Lotto takes a risk and attacks instead of just controlling for De Lie. Cause the latter would be quite boring. Let De Lie have some fun, could still use Menten or Taminiaux if it actually is a big sprint.

I can imagine some teams wanting to have fun too. Alpecin with Kragh Andersen for example

Turgis also mentioned this as a goal, as Total hasn't been invited to most of the big classics this year.
Huh? Total is horse crap in most races they enter. In the classics they've got a legit contender in Turgis. Then Total doesn't get invited in the classics? Sense!?

Why is Turgis still at Total then? Could've been a useful signing for AG2R!

1) he wasn't out of contract
2) when the WCs were handed out, most teams were already full

Still, no Total in Sanremo, a race where Turgis has been top-10 three years in a row now including a second place, is ludicrous. Yet some people will tell you that having three, rather than two, lineups full of Italian pack fodder is more important.

Surprised those Quick Steppers are not a late late late entry to try and make up for the weekend.
I was surprised they swerved this race anyway. They used to be successful with their B team here but now they haven't got an A team for the Classics, the B team is required to aim for Top 20 at .Pro and UWT races.

I hope Turgis at least got to ride his frustrations out.

The race is in its active phase now, more riders try to get away.

De Lie doesn't seem to have a strong team here at all. Only 4 Lotto's left in the peloton. If the other teams just let this be a sprint they're stupid. Lotto can't control.

De Lie has moved up near the front after everything got back together.

Tiller looking to get away after Uno-X has softened up the peloton.

Uno-X ready to inflict another blow. Let's hope it'll be enough to splinter the peloton.

9 riders with a gap after Capiot drilled it on the pavé. Lotto closing the move down.

Did Eenkhoorn finally manage to get back again, or was he the one to let go in the corner?
