How did kwiat become a mountain doom domestique ?

He finished 11th in the 2013 tour at the age of 23!

The only reason he is riding as a domestique is the ridiculous money he is getting from Sky.

What a waste of a career

He won Algarve and Tirreno this year and was the leader in all classics. The only race he slaves is the Tour. Hardly a waste.

I'm thinking crushweak is going to need 5-6 minutes. He's riding really really well, but when the hammer drops behind him.....

Good from Movistar, letting Sky take the lead instead of doing the work for them

Makes more sense now. They must have felt that Sky were dawdling on the climb, tried to keep the pace up and then got back off the front.

So let them dwadle. Don't burn your domestiques to hold the gap to Kruijswijk. Kruijswijk is inconsequential to their hopes of winning the tour.

I suspect that keeping the pace up on the climb was about keeping the pressure on the likes of Castroviejo, not Kruijswijk.

It is a waste to let this guy be a domestic and not in his own team as the captian in every race that he sign up for

You should start a cycling team and employ him as leader.

Will they up the drinking pace in the Dutch corner with the prospect of SK arriving there first? Or is the drinking at such a hors categorie level that it can’t be upped any higher?
I heard they ran out of beer before the race even started...

As an institution the “super domestique” is contemptible.

I assume missing the world cup will have really upped their energy levels so I'm sure they'll be nice and fresh for this one

Considering there were only 18 men left at the top and people like Yates have been dropped, I don't think they can accelerate that much more. But the valley is going to be crucial

I agree, this won't even be close. I think it's more likely he takes the yellow jersey than that he loses the stage.

Most thought Neive had won the stage yesterday until G happened.

Yeah, and Kruijswijk has been at the front all day, and for that he’s going to pay. They will catch him with a few kilometers left, I fear
