It's this Garbage: http://cyclingweekly.ipcshop.co.uk/shop/magazines/tour-magazine/tour-2011---the-essential-race-guide

according to gesink's website the rabo team will be from
gesink
mollema
LLS
garate
barredo
niermann
martens
boom
Tjallingii
LTD

Dunno if it is true or not. I never considered martens for the team.
And I still thought Breschel might make the team, but time was running short for him.

Ok;) - RIDE says the tour guide was on sale on Monday but wherever I go I can find it....Now they are saying that RIDE will be out on Friday in western states and monday for the other states! :(

So I expect now to see 7 australian riders in the tour...

Evans, Goss, Renshaw, OGrady, Wurf, Porte and Roberts.

Luke Roberts? If so what makes you think he'll be there?

Handy guy for the ttt and flats. Again I said that the maximum amount of Oz riders will be 7 so I am not saying Luke's spot is definite but possible.

Meh Sulzberger is not really that deservinng, there are many in the team equally deserving.

Roux, Roy, Casar, Fredrigo, Hutarovic, Vaugernard, Pauriol, Offredo, Pineau, Meersman, Pinot, Delage all just as worthy.

I suspect it'll be;
Roux (has had a good season, they hold him in high regard)
Casar (one of thier best climbers, when you think fdj you think casar)
Fredrigo (one of thier best riders, always brings his a-game to the tour)
Huta (good sprinter, can get amongst it)
Pauriol (has won 2 kom jerseys this year including paris-nice)
Pineau (very active rider at le tour, would be surprised to see him miss out)
Meersman (having a very good season)
Delage (shown good recent form, and a talented rider)
and maybe one of Roy, Geslin or Bonnet.

Sulzberger might have been useful for huta I guess.

No Sulzberger, Lancaster, LLoyd, Hansen, or Mik Rogers? They were in last year but don't know where they are at now.

Sulzberger - deserved to get in but according to l'equipe he isn't in the team and he doesn't seem very happy with the team.
Lancaster - just can't see him getting in the team.
lloyd - doesn't have a team
Hansen - 8 of the riders have been listed and he has a 1 in 5 chance of getting that final spot.
Rogers - with his illness won't be getting in
Davis - is on the outer at Astana and hasn't really peformed at all this year
Clarke - i am surprised he didn't get into the team. Just seems odd after the season he has had to not get a ride.
Gerrans - don't see him fitting into the sky team
Hayman - "as above"

Sulzberger

8th overall at bayern Rundfahrt + top 10 finish
8th overall at Tour of Turkey + 2 top 10 finishes. (Team didn't even ride for him when he was in a very strong position on gc)

After looking at his results, maybe his spot wasn't so guaranteed after all. He'll be at GreenEDGE next year.

Ok, the team will probably be Contador, Porte, Chris AS, Hernandez, Navarro, Vandborg, N. Sorensen, Larsson. The last spot will probably go to either Tosatto, Nuyens or Morkov.

Some people think Noval will be there but I doubt he is in shape.

Shame Alby won't be there :( and Mick Rogers has mononucleosis again or something

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned Cofidis' line-up but

Moncoutie
Dumoulin
Taaramae
Duque
Valentin
El Fares
Gallopin

+2 from
Buffaz
Zingle
Monier
Vogondy

Cyclingnews reported that Vogondy has a secured spot so he should be in. Hopefully the last spot goes to Monier, can't see Buffaz or Zingle doing anything in the Tour.

You're confusing Cedric with Jerome Pineau who rides for Quickstep. And I doubt that Cedric will get a spot. I think you're right with Roux, Casar, Fedrigo, Pauriol and Hutarovich but I think the remaining 4 spots will go to Jeannesson, Roy, Geslin and Meersman. Eager to see how Roux will fare in the Tour.

Yeah id go for those two as well. Monier won a stage in the Giro last year, beating Kruijswijk from a breakaway. Was doing ok in the Tour last year until the Pyrenees started. Good mountain rider, either as a helper for Taaramae if he's going well, or as someone going for a stage win.

whoops I am indeed. my bad.
Meersman will definitely be there I think.
I considered Jeannesson also.
Geslin I suspected would get the last spot I mentioned, he has some experience and is a good rider.
I have a feeling delage will make it tho.

navarro and hernandez im not so sure they have certainly been a bit off this season. But its very strong but i still think leopard is stronger.
Leopard Team may be stronger but Contador makes up the difference. Andy is always fragile if his brother doesn't push him, Contador , iMP, feeds on their strength when his team is gone on a climb

According to race organiser ASO, the broadcasts will all be based on images provided by France Télévisions, and six stages will be shown start-to-finish.

so the next question which I could not find the answer too on the ASO website is which are the 6.

The Alpe stage for sure, then some of the other big mountain stages. Also in the past they've shown the first road stage in it's entirety.

I'm pretty disappointed that they don't show the entire stage 18.

Le Tour de France 2011 - the big one is coming

I thought we should preview the tour now that the race is little over a month away.

Discussion for all classifications and stages is what you can discuss here.

I have included a poll about who will win presuming Contador is eliminated. I just thought that would be more of an interesting poll as it would be interesting to see who people think will take the title out if he is sanctioned.

with the early mountain stages, this could be the most uneventful Tour in years. expect a real sleeper if Contador has any time on the group the first week.

Then listen as Phil and Paul man love for their great white hope.
