And wants performance data released to validate performance.

Again, the mythical perfectly consistent athlete will never be found. Lemond's doing okay.

Expect more confounding behavior real soon.

I don't disagree. I am just disappointed, but it hasn't completely destroyed my respect. I thought that came through in my posts, but apparently not.

Good question, Dear Wiggo.

Noone seems to know.

Or maybe they are too yellow to answer the question.

Yes maybe.
is legit.

specially when all the research suggests that the effects of roids can last circa ~8 years, but if you have used the roids to hit new thresholds, those new thresholds will entrench their own strength and stamina. So after 8 years, you will not reverse those new gains beyond the roids

Greg's anti doping stance. Awesome. I mean he was clearly forced into this. And forced to do the Pantani documentary where he criticised lance for making it look too easy on ventoux when he passed out Marco....yet both were doping. And then said Marco was a great rider. He says lance was never a great rider and was top 30 at best. Fair enough. But then says Marco was great. Joke.

Nah. I think a better caption is: "Your arm is bigger than both my legs."

Hanging with vino.

Hey, you're the one who was cheering like a 12 year old girl during the Olympics when he won the Olympic RR...

I see you're still dragging the bottom of the scum bucket, while beating on a dead guy. Nice.

He also said this, on the same day...

Selective quotation seems to be the norm here lately...

This is a good example of where Greg stands. Again, he's not the white knight of anti-doping, despite what some wish and a few journalists tried to make believe. He's just Greg.

And I find him very cautious. This is hardly a "support" for Froome.
"You can't compare it to before. I don't like it when people ask me questions like that and I want to believe in what I'm seeing. There can be spectacular performances without doping."

He's quoting Fox Mulder ! That's how desperate he is... He just wants to move on like all of us.

He wants to move on!!! So he turns a blind eye. Which is the opposite of what he did with lance and Floyd. So even if we say ok he was justified in the lance thing, because of lance's personality, why go after Floyd. He volunteered information from a call, which later was established by Feds never happened his Greg recounted it. It's fine to say move on...but why is Marco a great rider and others not. When both are doping.

At least Paul Kimmage called him out on this nonsense as well.

And rightly so. He is the only one with a "no compromise" attitude.

You can post any number of pictures, Digger... It just demonstrates Greg is not endorsing the role of "white knight of anti-doping" other people have made for him.

If you want to go into the whole "guilt by association" thing, change your signature with "everyone is a doper" and save yourself the trouble.

Greg didn't go after Floyd. Investigators went to Greg and when people ask Greg he will answer. It's a simple concept.

As I said a few posts over, Greg believes Doped riders are first and foremost victims of a system. Pantani paid the highest price for his addictions. Lance, on the other hand, became the system and destroyed anyone standing on his way. And he's still out trying to manipulate the general public's opinion. Read his last quote : "I'm in", implying he's the only dude out there trying to make the world a better place...

No I just want to ascertain why Greg is ok with some dopers and not others. As referenced by Floyd where he also mentioned the Pantani line. It makes no sense. He told Kimmage he thought Kelly and fignon great riders. Both life time dopers.

He's cautious. Why go to Eurosport if it is to launch accusations with no proof ? You know he wouldn't stand a day there.

I believe Greg wants to promote cycling, and it's not a simple black & white job, at the moment.

He did go after Floyd. He kept talking to the press. Then they spoke on the phone. Greg then voluntarily went to usada with his version of this call. A call nobody else knew occurred. He then told usada his version of the call. Later established by Feds to not have happened. The contents that is.

So telling the world that cycling needs guys like Oleg is being cautious. Jesus.

EPO / not EPO

Definitely not the same impact on performances. You know, the whole "turn a donkey into a race horse" thing.

Find me the quote, and I'm confident we'll see Greg was referring to Oleg's idea of the million dollar trophy, not his way of dealing with his team and/or doping.

So is Greg the only clean winner of the TdF ever?

I wouldn't say it's a stupid question. I say it's a bit childish, as we all know it is impossible to prove someone was clean. The best we can get is "we cannot prove he doped".

It all comes down to one's opinion, I'm afraid.
