"Much" better = a few seconds better.
his original time would be 38th place or something
And this is with many times that are completely different than the ticker reported. They also reported a different time for zabriskie, kreder and some others

GE will have a lot of work to do with just 2 helpers left tomorrow.

Sounds like mission impossible but then again who knows GE is going so strong Teklehaianot might just destroy the field

Boaro did well. :)

Yeah he did. I was surprised by his performance especially beating Nelson/ Castrajevo.

Congrats to Durbridge ( hopefully he can win the overall ). I liked Kreders' tactics of sprinting with a long way to go, it seemed smart and i am starting to like him more and more.

He caught Marco Marcato in the final meters :)

I followed the live ticker for a bit, then closed it because I was sure Marcato would win, and then I read this. Bottom line: never think Marcato will win a race.

1. Gaetan Bille (Lotto-Belisol)
2. Romain Feillu (Vacansoleil-DCM)
3. Jonas Vangenechten (Lotto-Belisol)
4. Guillaume Boivin (Team Spidertech)
5. Ryan Anderson (Team Spidertech)
6. Christophe Laborie (Saur-Sojasun)
7. Moreno Hofland (Rabobank Continental)
8. Borut Bozic (Astana)
9. Jean-Pierre Drucker (Accent Jobs-Willems Vérandas)
10. Marco Minaard (Rabobank Continental)

It's good that a Lotto youngster wins, Lotto wants to invest in young talents and he shows they can build on him...

Yeah Marcato : when will he ever win a race , he deserves it after all his efforts, attacks...

It's nice that 2 young Lotto/ ( not seen so much before ) talents can go well.

Nice work by Durbridge/ GE ( it must be tough for Luke riding with a sore knee and GE with so little riders ). I'm happy for Ventoso, he should be Movistars Flat sprint rider.

Hey, let's be fair to Marcato, he's, after all, on some kind of winning spree: He won a race in February and one in October last year. That's impressive!

I wouldn't mind him winning more, though.

In a sprint according to the ticker.

Must be one f.cked up sprint that. Although a few years back he did almost beat Ventoso and Koldo Fernandez in a sprint in castilla y leon

Dekker attacked in the final kilometer and held on.

So no sprint
1 - Dekker
2 - Bouhanni
3 - Modolo
4 - Colli
5 - Jules
6 - Dumoulin
7 - Vachon
8 - Caethoven

I'm happy Dekker won because it probably means that Ventoso and ca. didn't get enough bonus seconds to take Oliveira out of the podium. And what about Boaro? Best rider of Saxo Bank this season:D

So Dekker wins the stage and must be at least 4th in the GC which Luke Durbridge has won.

edit: and Michael Kreder has fallen heavily in the final sprint

Delaplace (3) and bakelants (1) scored boni seconds during the stage, so I think (at least) 5th equal (determined on tenths on the TT?) assuming no-one above dropped I think.
