He can TT. Boonen can't, err, couldn't.

Pretty sure Boonen got second in a Vuelta prologue and was on his way to a very good results in the 30km time trial of the Vuelta before he crashed on his knee which later forced him to abandon said Vuelta(still posted 11th best time though).

Gotta love German tv. Amidst the usual dead boring couleur locale and doping stories I saw a pretty straightforward race. Barta did a Tom Boonen.

Out of pity for Dekker_T and Ryo Hazuki, they didn't show Kelderman's crash ;)

Apparently, a rider crashed in front of him and he couldn't avoid it... I know that he can't be blamed for that but you have to ask yourself how much bad luck a rider and team can possibly have before bad luck isn't really a plausible excuse anymore... Kelderman has so much potential but I fear he won't be able to epitomize the Dutch saying "Wat goed is komt vroeg" due to these crashes and every other predicament this squad find itself in on a fairly regular basis...

Yes, I'm sure it's the fact that Kelderman rides for Rabobank that causes people to throw bottles in front of his wheels, or crash in front of him  Bad luck is bad luck. Everything else is frustrated forumite talk (or Ryo troll talk).

Your assumption that I blame Rabobank for all their bad luck is obviously flawed as I never said such thing. Don't put words in my mouth. I said that it is striking how frequent ''bad luck'' affects this squad and you begin to wonder what the hell is going on with this team, be it their fault directly or not. It's a natural reaction to endless negatively affected results due to bad luck. Of course I'm frustrated, it's a natural human emotion, shoot me. Something would have to be wrong with you if you're not when you support this team. However, that doesn't make my contention any less compelling. Everything else is Rabo fanboy talk.

Luck comes in spells, look at Quick Step last year vs. this year. Or Vacansoleil just a month ago vs. now.

Johan Cruyff's "geluk dwing je af" doesn't work in cycling though. If you want it too much you can be almost sure you won't win (cf. Rabobank in the Amstel Gold Race).

Nice result by Clarke, I thought he was back to sucking after his great early season but this is pretty good!

I agree that luck comes in spells. But c'mon even you have to agree that this is getting crazy now. It is very frustrating being a Rabobank supporter in that regard. Then you consider the fact that they are so obsessed with the Tour that they want to put all of their eggs in the same basket and it does your head in. I don't think they will get any type of result in the Ardennes Classics and than it's all or nothing for the GT's. Tedious stuff. Oh, and I do think you can create your own luck in certain scenario's, or at least decrease your chances of being involved in a crash where statistically, being in certain positions at a particular time, affects your chances of having ''bad luck''. However, this does not apply in Wilco's case. That really is just pure bad luck.

Sean de Bie is 4th, not Eidsheim. Impressive season so far:

8th Vlaamse Pijl
5th Kattekoers
1st, 3th and 7th on stages of the Tryptique des Monts et Châteaux
5th overall Tryptique
2nd Ronde van Vlaanderen U23

He'll be pro next year, that's for sure.

Seems like the norwegian news site got a little carried away...

Hopefully Jonas Ahlstrand can get himself a contract somewhere as well next year. 3rd here and 7th in RVV should at least get him noticed a little. He's the best sprinting talent Sweden has had in quite a while now. Would be nice to have a Swedish pro that can actually sprint a little. The current pros are not exactly speedy.

Now saying Rasmussen second:

1 JJ. Haedo
2 Rasmussen
3 Guardini
4 Bacquet
5 Démare
6 Boivin
7 Van Hummel
8 Flahaut
9 Pelucchi
10 Casper
11 Le Montagner
12 R. Feillu
13 G. Malacarne
14 Zimine
15 Siskevicius

so Casper fails to score the first win for Ag2R this year. After winning the race for 4 times in the past i guess.
