They were caught, and then everything exploded.

(Where is everyone? The Suisse stage has ended; just in time to go over to Belgium.)

Philipsen rather unimpressive despite winning, even though we keep being denied the H2H it's clear Merlier is faster.

Incredibly stupid crash by Vernon, by the way. Taminiaux should never make that move.

Weird finish. Philipsen did really well to move through the lead outs and get himself into prime position, and after that he was (respectfully) against second tier opposition.

Look again. Taminiaux moves cause the TDT guy moves. Taminiaux will obviously be blamed cause no one looks twice before judging but yeah not his fault, normal reflex.
Taminiaux moves way more than the TDT guy, but honestly it felt like all three were riding with their eyes closed. That was as needless a sprint crash as it gets.

Yeah he moves more cause it's a reflex. Are we now gonna blame riders for having reflexes? Also I wouldn't say he moves more, he does it faster cause he sees a collision coming (Taminaiux was moving to the right slightly and the Unibet guy to the right). Imo this is just a racing incident. I don't think the move from Taminiaux is bad.

Looking forward to Evenepoel deciding to 'chip in with a few leadouts' against that dangerous Alpecin train with Van Der Poel and 80kg Groves, trouble on the horizon.

Really? I think Philipsen looked really good to close that gap on Molano.

Hayter with a very good time in a typical Hayter TT in Belgium. Only one who might beat him is Ganna (and I have some doubts).
