Reasonably strong startlist in Austria. 7 WT teams with good riders, but the PRT teams are lacking...

Over 50 kilometres done in Austria and the fight to establish the break is still ongoing. 2025 pro cycling is strange.

Marco Schrettl should end up on a bigger team
Indeed. Was also a pretty good junior but then struggled a lot 2023 and 2024 in his first "adult" years. But he was always pretty much on par with Hajek who got a WT contract. In that sense, always a bit of luck involved.

But good results so far in 2025. I would say there should be a team to pick him up.

Happy for Felix Großschartner. He is one of the riders on the brink of getting dropped by UAE for next year (was already close this winter). And I think he is actually better than given credit often. Also wonder why he is not used more for GTs (probably none this year). Always loyal, and while weaknesses in the high mountains, a two time top 10 finisher in the Vuelta himself. But with UAE's packed roster, Tour of Slovenia (also just because Pogi was not there this year) or Tour of Austria are pretty much his only races where he can go for results himself.
