Dunbar lost them this race when he tried attacking and solo bridging a 30 second gap for no reason when he's 1.30 down.

A bit selfish from Dunbar. If they would have taken turns with the 4 of them, they might have caught him, and the chance for a team win this stage would be much bigger, instead of trying to fight solo for GC.

No interesting cathedral or even chateaux does affect the race a bit.

Problem is the stage today is so far away from civilisation that we don't even get to see any of the extravagant mosques that the middle east has to offer.

What I've seen from Hatherly indicates he is a ten minute climber which will give him the chance to win races.

Quite impressed by Hatherly in the first meaningful road races of his career. Time will tell if he can translate this form to tougher parcours and competition, but altogether it’s a very good start.

This is the first time I'm watching this race, I imagined the final climb quite differently. Not sure what to expect of the camel track tomorrow...

On a different note Pidcock looks like he may have shed a few pounds, looks like his arms are thinner since the last time I've seen him.

If Merlier races again next year we'll at least have the flying horse part taken care of.

So Pidcock needed only 5 days in Q36.5 to equal the amount of wins he got for 2 years in Ineos.

I can't wait to see him him improve massively only to prove that Ineos are graveyard.

I wouldn't blame them. The likes of Pidcock, Hayter (okay they left), Sheffield, Rodriguez, Arensman, Turner even Tarling (although it's too early to judge him) stalled or even regressed.

I imagine the morale at Ineos might not be the greatest at the moment, I think someone predicted the team might fold entirely in a few years? Unless something drastically changes (for the better!) I can see that happening.
