Tudor-Fail or Brenner-Fail. Would have easily won I think. Zimmermann didn't look good until today. They should have used his teammate to control. But he also should have selected a poiont of attack where he could have bridged like Zimmermann.

He was literally looking at Zimmermann when he attacked. I have no idea why everyone here is pretending like he could've followed. If so why didn't he? If he was literally there. Only one reason he didn't follow and that's cause he had a bad moment at that point.

where does all the Brennen fanboys suddenly come from?

Rondel would have come close to take the GC without his crash yesterday. If at all, Tudor should have gone for him earlier.
Why do you insult people? With those finishes at this race and the crash it would have been smarter for Tudor to try and go for Brenner. that takes nothing away from Rondel who is a great rider but not as good in my eyes on this kind of finishes although today suited him better then the other three stages.

Brenner seemed strong; it seems he didn't move because he had a teammate in front.

No stage, no general. Tactical disaster for Tudor.

Zimmermann was a bit distanced on Brenner‘s attack so it would be weird if Brenner just hit the wall there. You could also ask why he didn‘t follow De La Cruz and Torres earlier considering those were his main opponents. He showed in the end that he was clearly stronger than Fiorelli and Covi who he was looking at all the time.

sorry if you felt insulted, but Brenner himself said that he aimed for a Top 10 in this race. The posts here sound like it's Pogacar racing.

I mean yeah of course he was stronger than Covi or Fiorelli, they are not proper climbers. Doesn't mean he was stronger than the guys up front, and definitely not Zimmermann. If you're that strong some people pretend he was here you just drop those guys and/or follow Zimmermann. Zimmermann countered him, definitely possible Brenner had to take a breath at that point. He was for sure top 3 strongest here probably, and sure he maybe made some tactical mistakes, but saying he was by far the strongest or would've easily won is a massive reach and based on nothing imo.

As no one can look into the bodies of riders of course there's no way to know. I think he could have gone with the original group or with Zimmermann with better race instincts. At the moment Zimermann went he had pulled hard for a long time and also looked at Howson in his wheel. No idea if he could had another bullet to give. the finish was quite strong on the last ramp but when Zimermann went it was also not so steep and maybe a head or cross-headwind.

A lot that played into that but of course it's visible that Brenner is in good form and in my eyes he would have been the favourite on the last ramp if the group stayed together. But Zimmermann also very strong of course with his sprint. I would be happy for him if he can win again something. Hopefully that also translates into results on the WT stage. Like Rutsch in the classics he's lacking that a bit in the last 12 months.
