Fantastic finale that was. The Peter Post tactic really was the best thing Alpecin could do against two far superior riders, but the difference was simply too big between them and Magnier/Tiller.

Would literally ruin this race. It's already pretty dangerous but it would be a horrible crashfest. Same with Tro Bro Leon. Leave it as it it, not everything has to be WT. Would also be more controlled probably.
I'd agree, less is probably more here

He was deep gruppeto every stage that went uphill, not sure it was all luck.
Yeah the hilly and mountain stages were surprisingly bad. The sprint stages were unlucky and with very poor support.

Doing finales on your own in sprints within GTs is just almost impossible nowadays.

So, PCS has preliminary lineups for all teams for the Andora MoraBanch Clásica on Sunday... except the Andorra National team.

Are there even 5 "pro" - or even amateurs riding on club teams - cyclists in Andorra? As in; people of Andorran citizenship. There are lots of pro cyclists in Andorra.

there's one in the Caja Rural devo team (Adrià Regada) who even won a race recently. And Andorra sent a team to the Games of the Small States in May, so I guess it'll be more or less the same guys lining up again

BTW, am I the only one who finds it rather amusing that we get 2 brand new one-day races Sunday:
The Andora MoraBanc Clásica, and the Copenhagen Sprint; two races that couldn't be any more different.

They could have had Reykjavik Time Trial Friday, Copenhagen Sprint Saturday and Andorra Climb Sunday.

And then there's Euskaltel, just sending the same 7 riders to both Andorra and Occitanie...

"Hey, guys. You know that new, quite tough, one-day race in Andorra? How about a 4-day stage race before that, just to warm up your legs?"

Graphics for Occitanie has the top-5 across the line permanently on-screen.

Meanwhile, storks spotted in Belgium. (Stork is not in the race.)

Apart from the Gran Camino TT I'd say he has almost regressed since his JR and U23 years. I guess we'll know more about his potential when he joins Visma.
