Apart from the Gran Camino TT I'd say he has almost regressed since his JR and U23 years. I guess we'll know more about his potential when he joins Visma.

Last year in Luxembourg and Burgos were okay on less suitable routes than today's. But he doesn't seem to have improved much this year in general.

Merlier ridiculously fast. I think he got a bit lucky that Van Uden's chain dropped as it meant everyone behind Van Uden slowed down just as Merlier started moving forwards and start his sprint. Deserved winner, regardless, and favourite for the flat stages at the Tour.

This is Belgium's Palm Beach, Nice, Dorset Sandbanks...

If you have a property in Knokke(-Heist) you're loaded. I once was fortunate enough to spend a night in a hotel close by as a guest when I was helping setting up a Koi pond. I got a 3k bottle of champagne and a free stay worth about 1250 euros a night for free...
