I keep hoping he'll win the race, but it probably isn't likely to happen anymore. If only he had been 5-10 years older.

I'm not sure this would be a race for him, but I certainly expect him to make Skjelmose and Co. look like 13 year olds or fat Neville Southalls on Danish molehills next week, while the German commentators call him a very young guy.

As long as he doesn't go dancing afterwards...

Wouldn't mind getting an opportunity to race in the Himalaya region myself, so I think some of these boys are pretty lucky (and good too).

I suspect Prodhomme (v.'25) is the best climber in the field, so lets see if he can hold off the Visma assaults. Late start (14:30 local), so shouldn't conflict too much with the business in Spain and Polen at least.

6 .1 or higher stage races are underway, the least prestigious of which is the Trans-Himalaya Cycling Race, which confusingly consists entirely of flat stages between 2800 and 4100 meters of elevation. There isn‘t even a KOM competition. Burgos, Euskaltel and Solution Tech-Vini Fantini are there to farm points.
Yeah I just stumbled upon the race as well when I saw the PCS results. They're basically racing through the valleys/on the high plateau around Tibet. Crazy stuff but probably a pretty cool experience for the riders.

Trans Himalaya is the perfect meme race.

I'm always interested just for the effects of altitude on the average speed of flat stages.
