Israel rider was Brady Gilmore. Feirense rider is either Diogo Gonçalves or Fábio Oliveira. All three - plus Cesar Martingil of Tavfer - were fined CHF500 and 25 UCI ranking points for assault between riders so clearly something worthy of punishing on the part of the Feirense rider happened either before this to generate this reaction from Gilmore, or in retaliation to this.
Interested by this reply from a long-dormant twitter account which appears to list itself as a comedic account but largely only posts serious takes on cycling - and hasn't done so since July 2024:
"Brady Gilmore is dangerous. In Tour de Bretagne last year the dude started a fight in the middle of the pelo. Even threw a bottle at another rider all whilst going down a decent at 60kph. Not even his teammates managed to calm him down. «He’s got ADHD» they said to the rest of us"
Obviously this implies that the anonymous user is within at least the semi-pro péloton or staff of a team at a reasonable level to have encountered Brady on multiple occasions. The fact the account is said to be comic could be a reason to dismiss comment but simultaneously there are no punchlines or anything that appears to be said in jest and it would be a strangely targeted jibe even if so.
If there is a grain of truth to this, and it's only one voice so it could just as readily be nonsense or coincidence, it's probably something his team is going to have to work on now he's signed into the WT-level péloton for the next few years, there's going to be a lot more scrutiny and visibility if he loses his temper or does something dangerous.
