I had no idea about this guy, but he rode a very impressive last 10ks after getting dropped like 3 times, lol
I think he was partly cooked and could not accelerate on a false flat, Ulissi was also struggling to corner as wellIncredibly bad cornering from Vermeersch in the last kilometer.
He definitely looks to have Asian roots like Torstein Træen whose grandmother is Japanese. What are Lolands roots?

But I don't know.
I've very much enjoyed this race every year--it's a lovely send off for the road seasonVeneto Classic... So cool route... Should be World Tour in the future!

Did I comment this last year? If I did, crazy you remember.. didn't know I had true fans on this platfrom.Every year the same comment haha, would just ruin this race. Why change something that's close to perfect already every single year. Why would you want a more controlled race with possibly a way more predictable ending?
He didn't say it was you that commented every yearDid I comment this last year? If I did, crazy you remember.. didn't know I had true fans on this platfrom.
Of course he was partly cooked, but they all were. It was obvious that he went into the corners at a lower speed than Løland (gap between them increased in the last 50 meters into the corners), Løland took better lines and came out of the corners with more speed and higher speed. That was not about acceleration, this was just about the short period of time they barely pedaled before and during the corners.I think he was partly cooked and could not accelerate on a false flat, Ulissi was also struggling to corner as well
Yes because a 40 km Pogi or Remco solo or a full UAE team smashing the peloton to pieces for Del Toro would be so much better than this..Veneto Classic... So cool route... Should be World Tour in the future!

Well if not for that Andorra thing I think we would have seen UAE smashing the peloton to pieces for Del Toro anyway..Yes because a 40 km Pogi or Remco solo or a full UAE team smashing the peloton to pieces for Del Toro would be so much better than this..
It's a beautiful, beautiful place. My first time traveling there I was pleasantly surprised at being able to get along in German and English. Northern Italian food is epic.beautiful city to boot
That's great to know!. Sometimes that idea that a city/region hosts a race finish to promote their tourism potential is true--I will hope to go to that area next time in Italy. It's a beautiful, beautiful place. Today's race was great. Only question I would have had was spectator house keeping.. I am just that way but if I was standing around waiting for the race I would have just involuntarily picked up some of the bigger rocks in the road on the gravel sections.. And I was impressed that when riders got fouled up, fans on the side of the road gave them a helpful tush push..
Holidays for meYou don't say...
I'm guessing you were in the vicinity of Alicante already? You didn't just... run from your home in Italy to Alicance to go drinking?
