he called alberto pinocchio in some basque newspaper. if alberto would be lance, this guy would never reach a breakaway ever again.

You can't hate a basque guy for talking smack about a Madrileño. ;)

I know your stance on doping and everything, but to lose respect for someone because they play by the rules and call out those who don't is unfair in my opinion.

From procyclingstats he has 16 podium placements this year.

He is a real deal I think. At Belkin without Bos, only Hofland remains so he'll lead most sprint races and some smaller classics. Good team choice!

I don't know if he's necessarily better than Hofland, he has hardly raced in the WT (where Hofland has had some results). He can be a consistent points scorer in the WT sprint races though, unlike Bos.

It's a pity someone puts the results of Giro di Almaty / Il Almaty on the Lesser Known Races Results but here it is:

Lutsenko won it, Nibali 10th. So a Kazakh rider beating the Tour winner, Vino must be happy. Also with a Vino4Ever rider in front of the squalo.

1st Lutsenko
2nd Chernetskiy s.t.
3rd Lagutin 21''
4th D. Gonçalves 21''
5th Antomarchi 29''
6th Astafyev 29''
7th Piechele 29''
8th Kuchynski 29''
9th Polivoda 29''
10th Nibali 35''

Gran Premio Città di Peccioli - Coppa Sabatini (1.1)

1. Sonny Colbrelli (Bardiani CSF)
2. Mauro Finetto (Neri Sottoli Alé)
3. Franco Pellizotti (Androni Venezuela)
4. Davide Rebellin (CCC Polsat)
5. Enrico Battaglin (Bardiani CSF)
6. Davide Villella (Cannondale)
7. Davide Viganò (Caja Rural CGA)
8. Niccolò Bonifazio (Lampre Merida)
9. Amets Txurruka (Caja Rural CGA)
10. Robinson Chalapud (Colombia)

Two more one day races coming up in Italy. My money is on Bardiani taking both.

18th Gran Premio Bruno Beghelli (1.HC)
1 CONTI Valerio Lampre-Merida
2 KOREN Kristijan Cannondale
3 ZAKARIN Ilnur RusVelo
4 ANDRIATO DE MATTAS Rafael Neri Sottoli
5 PASQUALON Andrea Area Zero Pro Team
6 BONIFAZIO Niccolo Lampre-Merida
7 BELLETTI Manuel Androni Giocattoli - Venezuela
8 BALYKIN Ivan RusVelo
9 VIGANO Davide Caja Rural - Seguros RGA
10 KREDER Michel Wanty - Groupe Gobert

Alongside Bonifazio, it's nice to see a young rider in Lampre doing well. Catanneo was pretty decent in Suisse as well. A sign of things to come?
