Very happy to see that Edy Grosu (21) is doing well in his first year as a pro.He already have 4 wins (one GC) and a bunch of top 10s.

Already second win for neo-pro Alexis Gougeard after Classic Loire Atlantique, and again solo! Impressive!

This is so bizarre. It's just some dude riding the course pointing a camera at the side of the road. Blurry pictures of the crowd, sometimes he'll swing it around and show an official's vehicle. I haven't seen a racer yet.

And of course hoping for commentary, graphics, or even the occasional split time is apparently too much. Why go to the trouble of streaming this?

Ooh, riders! I just saw some riders, apparently a breakaway at the bottom of the Wall. Looked like two from the Hincapie development squad and three others I couldn't make out. One orange helmet.

This is frustrating and ridiculous, in a mildly fun kind of way.

Okay, if I'm "reading" this right, there's a break of four up the road with less than two minutes on the field, but with only about a lap to go.

2 Isaac Bolivar Hernandez (Col) Unitedhealthcare Professional Cycling Team
28 Joseph Schmalz (USA) Hincapie Sportswear Development Team
131 Serghei Tvetcov (Mda) Jelly Belly P/B Maxxis
171 Joshua Berry (USA) Team Smartstop

Now a 5 Hour Energy Guy has bridged up, making it a breakaway of five.

181 Taylor Sheldon (USA) 5-Hour Energy P/B Kenda

No idea what the gap is, or where they are in the race. :D

Kiel Reijnen wins in Philadelphia for the second year running. As far as I can tell from twitter he dropped everyone on the final short steep climb.

Its a minor field once again, still repeat wins can't be totally explained by luck and randomness.

Would like to see him in a televised race somewhere.

[Useful stuff about the Boucles de la Mayenne]

Thanks for the links! It'll be interesting to follow this race in conjunction with the Tour of Luxembourg. I know that the Luxembourg race has a higher rating and a better peloton on paper, but I wonder if the Boucles de la Mayenne will really be all that less interesting. Each race has three World Tour teams present, though to be sure Luxembourg has 6 PCT teams to the French race's 3. (The Continental squad ratio is 4 to 14!). I only bring up these comparisons at all because somebody in the Tour of Luxembourg thread noted that the French WT teams are choosing this race over Luxembourg.

This race used to be 2.2, but got upgraded this year.
So it probably vacuumed some French teams along.

Can find profile information, but I like the 6 man team concept.

I'm going with Gert Joeaar. He won a similar stage earlier this year at Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen against a stronger field, I think.

Aaaaaand, he comes it with a 6'09''35''' on the 4.5 kilometer course, not good enough to crack the provisional top 30. Final results should be available momentarily.
