I suppose most stages don't lend themselves to late attacks as much as one-day races, where there's a small group on the limit?That was only Simon's fourth stage win in his career. Which is remarkable given that he has won 9 one-day races.
In the end it was the expected sprint, with Aranburu being the quickest.
What a mess. Aranburu/Movistar should thank god. Costa and Van Avermaet were gone.
Om*g, Greg was riding like in his old days and so very close to a win. And then Costa and he got send the wrong way with 1 km to go. Second in the sprint behind Ulissi at the end.

First stage of the Baltic Chain Tour and Rait Ärm got the stage and yellow jersey after a sprint in a small group. A great day for him, many riders would give their right arm to win a big race in their own country.
