That was only Simon's fourth stage win in his career. Which is remarkable given that he has won 9 one-day races.
I suppose most stages don't lend themselves to late attacks as much as one-day races, where there's a small group on the limit?

It's remarkable how many races he's winning this season using this tactic, at the age of 37. Could be the best year of his career.

This guy seems like he has rather a hard time as a stagiaire. DNF in La Polynormande and then today he was outside the time limit, on his own, more than 20 minutes behind the penultimate riders...

Madouas solo in the front with just under 33 Ks to go.
He has around 50 seconds to a chasing Intermarche duo of Claeys and Rota, and around minute to the peloton.

Guillaume Martin rode up that entire 2 km climb standing in the pedals. Contador has found his heir.

Cofidis should pay Martin millions. impressive the way he keeps being motivated for all these small races.

Om*g, Greg was riding like in his old days and so very close to a win. And then Costa and he got send the wrong way with 1 km to go. Second in the sprint behind Ulissi at the end.

I'm proud and sad at the same time.

That was Ulissi's first ever win in France.

Also, UAE have now won as many races as QuickStep this season.

First stage of the Baltic Chain Tour and Rait Ärm got the stage and yellow jersey after a sprint in a small group. A great day for him, many riders would give their right arm to win a big race in their own country.

I see what you did there!
