I think it‘s great from Geniez and Dujardin. You don‘t see this very often in modern sports, and I liked it very much…![]()
And let's not ignore the fact that the guy with the best hairdo in the pro peloton won the overall!

Great for the sponsors as well, since he’s Belgian.Second victory of the year for De Lie. LTS have a good one on their hand with this youngster.

Whenever someone makes a De Lie discussion thread, I have the best name for it.

That's Belgium for yaJust pulls off an interview in 3 languages, 19y old (well, basically 20).
De Lie really is a gem for Lotto. What a tank when sprinting, this kid. Reminds me a bit of Boonen.

You're absolutely right.Well Flemish people maybe but the regular French speaking Belgian doesn't really excel in Dutch or English.
His Dutch also got waaaaay better since the beginning of last year when he wasn't really confortable speaking it. Obviously helps that he rode in a team with all Flemish guys last year. And his English was basically non-existent before this year, got better by being in the sprintersgroup on trainingscamp.
Waiting for one more great performance though I still might make it today. Then why don't you make it?
Even more important that he's from the French speaking part of Belgium. Speak French and Dutch. Perfect for sponsors, press and fans.
Outmost respect btw for how straight he sprints there. And I'm always surprised how fast De Bondt is in a small group after a somewhat hard race.
Is "De Lie" a surname that can be found in both parts of the country or is his family originally from the flanders region? (as to me De Lie would be a name I would associate first with the northern part of the country).
I also learned today that Van Lerberghes shitty sprint in Samyn was due to the fact that he sprinted on a flat.Watching the finish of GP Monsere it was shocking that Ethan Vernon could not hold the wheel of his lead-out rider Van Lerberghe - It was shade of Matthews in 2021.
