Maybe Vollering would simply have attacked earlier if Realini had refused to pull, but Trek could still have played it better.

Some more fine performances from Zigart, Bunel, Cadzow, Bradbury and De Vries. Not the best of starts for Kaisa and Muzic, but the podium is still within reach if they ride well tomorrow.

The ITT will be interesting. Even though its a mountain time trial there is no guarantee that the top 10 in today's stage will be the same tomorrow.
